What is going to happen when Saban leaves ? If they hire Dabo would you still think Bama is serious about winning or the PTB taking back the program.

Alabama lucked into a coach who wrote the "how to win" playbook and everybody just ignores it.

I guess I should have clarified, I'm talking about MSU, Arkansas, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, and Missouri

I doubt the PTB will allow Dabo to run his own show at Bama. Making a big hoopla about getting your team to the playoffs, hosting pizza parties and shite makes me cringe a little.

Dabo knows how to hire solid coaches, he knows how to reload a team and he knows how to win football games. Who knows what's in store?

It's been a mighty fine ride for this fan though, and I'll enjoy the hell out of it while it lasts.

I'm talking specifically from a coach selection perspective.

1. Hire a coach that has a winning background.
2. Give him what he needs, within the limits of the means of the university/donors.
3. Get the hell out of his way.
4. If said coach can't remain consistently in the top 3 of his division, FARR his arse and try again.

Tennessee and TAMU are hanging on to their coaches far too long.

Dabo has made Clemson a national contender and champion and you think he'd be a bad hire?

I just want to see the entire conference living up to its potential. Yeah, its fun seeing Bama win, but too many SEC schools are like babies sitting in shat diapers with parents that seemingly don't care to change it.

I was scared to death of UGA hiring Tom Herman. Really glad they hired Kirby.

And to the rest of us, fans like you are the same as pageant moms who dress their 5 year olds up and slather on the make-up for their little princess.

Not everybody thinks that making football king is the ultimate.

That may not be the case at MSU due to baseball fever, but tell that to the folks in College Station.

You are dead-on about 99% of the SEC. I've almost had a stroke trying to explain to MSU fans in my own family that State does not care about winning like Bama does. People that think that they care as much as Bama, or LSU, or Auburn are just kidding themselves

I think that hiring a guy who has
- won 1 national title
- been to 2 of 2 playoffs
- won 3 conference titles
- won 10+ games for 6 straight years
- finished in the Top 10 4 of the last 5 years
- is 70-13 over the last 6 seasons

would be a sign that we are serious about winning, yes. Outside of hiring Urban Meyer, there isn't a better option out there than Dabo.

Too much barbeque in Tuscaloosa for Bert. He would explode. Not a good fit for Alabama or for Bert's pants.

Not won't be a issue, if you cover the buyout, we will cover the medical bills.
