That's about average for ND. Very rarely inside the top-10

You serious, Clark? LSU is ranked on par with Ole Miss in academics. AU splits the state of Alabama recruits with Bama every year, which produces better talent than LA. Auburn recruits GA better than any school not named UGA, which is only behind Florida and Cali in terms of future NFL talent. Facilities are much better, and LSU (by some act of God) has a worse AD than we do. To say LSU is on another level than AU is laughable.

If anyone thinks LSU is not a top ten program they have no knowledge of football. Or they are just plain crazy

Notre Dame is not better until they change their admission standards and join a P5 conference. For ND to make the playoffs they would have to take a spot from a P5 conference champ.

Who cares where the LSU job ranks? That variable is not going to change LSU fans.

The real question is : How many Championship coaches are out there? The obvious Top 2 are taken. Jimbo and Stoops have jobs, for now. Pete Carroll fled to the NFL. Coker and Miles were run off. Mack Brown and Gene Chizik are available, I guess

quote:

Perhaps not the greatest quantity of recruits, but when you consider how much talent there is with how few schools there are in state and surrounding... yeah, Louisiana is a top recruiting state.

I didn't say it wasn't! You said it was 4th nationally, and better than all except CA, TX, & FL.
That's just incorrect .

Its generally -
Florida
Texas
California

Georgia

Ohio
Louisiana
Alabama...

The difference between blue chip and total recruits and percentage , stays the same margin.

Georgia is usually about 75% of what the other three each produce.

However Georgia produces double what Ohio or Louisiana does, sometimes more than the 2 combined.
