I'm just saying if what Myles did last season is considered overrated for a true freshman in the toughest division in sports, then maybe the definition we are using for overrated is a bit off.

All I hear from Aggies is that "he broke Clowney's Freshman SEC Sack Record" and the fact is that only 3.5 of these sacks came in SEC play.

quote:

He also played most of his conference games later in the year after it was well documented that he was a freak of nature, and thus faced quite a bit more attention as far as blocking and double teams go. But that's also conveniently ignored

And now all you can find is excuses for it

This has absolutely nothing to do with anything I posted.

He's a good player, just not quite on Barnett's level.

Why are A&M fans getting their panties in a bunch over this thread?? Let's see how he does this year under Chavis. I think he will have more tackles under Chavis' scheme, but far less sacks.

That fake pancake after the whistle is a sign of the OL's frustration from getting his arse kicked all game. Dude was so goddamn mad.

Nothing says getting your arse kicked on the o-line like rushing for 384 yards. Aggy has their talking points and they must make them whether it makes sense or not.

This is not photoshopped. Myles whipped that dude's arse all night long

i can't even tell if you're trolling or just plain ignorant. Garrett got abused by Collins in the game last year, badly. It was a talking point all game. Collins was a senior and one of the best LTs in the country, it happens. But no, he did not abuse Collins all night. Quite the opposite actually.

Ok so Barnett is good at rushing the quarterback.

he also had 20+ TFL. Barnett is as underrated as Nkimdiche is overrated

games vs P5 teams with 5 or more tackles

Barnett = 9
Myles = 1

tackles for loss, per game, vs P5

Barnett = 1.9
Myles - 0.63

Garrett is overrated. But he's no Robert Nkemdiche.

I agree, Nkemdiche is much better. No wonder he's projected to be a top 10 and possibly top five pick

Ahh I'm butthurt for posting in a discussion thread where I disagree with the OP. Yes I'm incredibly butthurt over this.

Is it participating when you ask other people to do research that you yourself aren't willing to do? If you think the splits of other players will illuminate this issue, you should go forth and do the homework. That would be participatory.

Did you realize that LSU fans, who started and make up probably 75% of the posts in this thread, also have no stake in this?
