It's sad really. You'd think you'd be focused on ASU but nope, all LSU all day every day.

LSU fan starts A&M thread

A&M fan responds

LSU fan deems A&M "obsessed" with LSU

Classic Rant!!

maybe you should start? I mean, could it get worse?

Don't get all pissy, I am just trying to help.

No troll, but you will be playing those small DEs once Chavis get his guys in there. He likes undersized ends, which is why you see a guy like Barkevious Mingo get moved to OLB in the pros. Not a bad thing, just how Chavis likes his guys.

It helps when playing spread teams, but hurts when going against a power-I, downhill running team.

How does he have "his guys" when he doesn't recruit? I thought he just coordinated the talent that was recruited and coached up by the position coaches

Just trying to keep the narrative straight

You can't keep the narrative straight when you conflate two simple, yet entirely different items into one large mess.

Sorry, let me rephrase that--once Chavis directs the D-line coach to get "his" guys, you'll see that.

Look at the type of D-line players LSU had under Saban, and the early Miles years with Bo Pelini compared to the guys when Chavis was at LSU.

Both ways of doing things are effective, but there are strengths and weaknesses to both.

You gave so little to work with by way of your trying to create an issue, that there wasn't much that could be done with it. Do you not understand the difference between having player types that fit your scheme and people who go out to get those types of players to come to school at the university they work at? Of course you understand this, aggy. The explanation is you conflated those issues into a fricked, distorted reality that doesn't even make sense and declared victory. The problem was that your point didn't logically follow and made a mess out of the English language. I didn't think it was necessary to spell it out, but after your inquiry, I thought this might help you in the future.

How about we wait at least until a ball is kicked before saying who is overrated and who isn't?

Sounds like you are freakin worried.

You certainly were after Garrett. And we offered most of the DEs you signed under Chavis. Perhaps the weight programs are different if the sizes of the lines are different like you say

Maybe the weight program will change, I don't know. But it certainly didn't this offseason as most of our lineman got much bigger

When someone says a coordinator has "his guys" there is an assumption that he was part of the talent evaluation and recruiting process. Not just for LSU or A&M, but for any program.

It is LSU fans that demand that the concepts be unnaturally separated because that is the only way that both of your butthurt narratives (1. Chavis can't recruit 2. LSU did well with Chavis because they had players that fit Chavis's style, with the implication that A&M lacks the same thing) can be true and not contradictory.

In summary, it is yet another example of how yall bend the facts to minimize the positive impacts Chavis has had on the LSU program as much as humanly possible. These mental contortions were fun five months ago, now they are all stale.
