Over the fricking equipment manager who is so bad at his job it takes him 80 hrs a week to do it? You clowns deserve a 3-9 season for getting mad over an equipment manager.

Exactly. He is full of shite anyway. It's an old Carolina mindset. There is a large group of older people involved with SC athletics that don't care about wins and losses. As long as they their friends keep their jobs , and they can keep their parking pass and front row seats for 50 years for next to nothing, costing the AD money. They want to feel like they mean more to the program than they really do Big fish in a small pond mentality.

It's freaking April, what has Muschamp so pissed that he'd fire the equipment guy in the offseason?

The obvious answer is something during the spring practice/game that he didnt like.

The Rants answer is that this guy was the Messiah of equipment manager and Boom fired him for nothing because he is Satan.

Do not get me wrong, I'm pulling for that mother fricker Muschamp ... but he'd better win. He's not the only mother fricker that can throw temper tantrums .... he's just ignited a few thousand more of us who can throw every bit the psychotic unhinged temper tantrum that he can throw .... and we're all as potty mouthed as that mother fricker ever thought about being.

Really? I hadn't noticed.

You'd rather the equipment manager get fired in September or October?

I was thinking the same thing. the off season is exactly when you want to fire somebody.

For better or worse, Muschamp earned that reputation. Admit it. You thought he was a clown while he was at Florida, right? We ALL made fun of his tantrums on the sidelines. Don't tell me your perspective didn't change when he went to South Carolina. We all change our perspective when a coach becomes "our" coach.

Guess how many Georgia fans wish Spurrier had coached at UGA?

Frankly, I don't care that he fired the dude, or that he has handled commenting on it poorly. The culture of our entire program has needed a desperate change, and it seems to me like Muschamp has been bringing it. Who knows if it will result in wins, but at least we're not dealing with the same stale attitude that we had with Spurrier for the past 2 years. I just want to see a rejuvenated football program.

This. Tired of the old mindset. Tired of us being a place where coaches go to retire. Muschamp may not succeed here, but I have no doubt he is giving us 100% effort towards this job.

You really think the equipment manager contributes to a teams "mindset"?

I think he means the fans. Boosters impeding progress and getting up in arms over the stupidest shite.

Muschamp is just a grade A jerk. No reason at all to fire long time staffers like equipment guys or chaplains. We're not talking about assistant coaches here not doing their job.

Because you know the reasons behind these decisions?

Please share, other than "golly Muschamp sure is a jerk"

Not really sure what happened here, but WM has a 3-4 yr rebuild job ahead of him. Hopefully the fans will stay behind him because the next few years will be rough.

He's going to lead one of the most spectacular failures in SEC history. SC is FINISHED in football.

It's laughable that their fans think that because they won an East championship one time, they are destined to compete with the traditional powers.

They believe in themselves so much, it's gonna be fun to watch the implosion over the next few years.
