SC played this one smart. Muschamp is a hired gun. He'll spend 3 or 4 seasons loading the roster with talent (he's a good recruiter) then they'll replace him with a proven coach that will win with that talented roster.

I don't understand this move at all. Nor do I understand his "no comment" reaction regarding this when he was quick to respond and defend his move with the team chaplain.
Unless there are some huge, looming dark secrets we were all unaware of (not likely..pretty much damn near impossible) he can take all the time in the world to try to get his ducks in a row to explain this one...and it still wouldn't have been enough time to give a legit reason for this action.

Most everyone inmy circle understands .... business is business, you bring in your own people, new and young blood .... but thus guy, Chris Matlock, he deserved a better press release. This is a man who took great pride in what he did from the moment he took the job. Holtz brought him with him from the old Notre Same staff, Spurrier loved him ... called him "The Detective."
He must have worked 80 hrs a week for the past 16 years. Always smiling, always upbeat, always happy. First one there, last one to leave. The players love him too ... many many stories about him helping those kids over the years.
Muschamp dealt with this like a bastatd ..... he'd better win now. His leash will be short. He's pissed off 1000s of fans today.

This coy coded fricktard comment by Muschamp ... we're waiting to see if the university corrects that.
They dismissed the whole staff. ... it was strictly a move by Muschamp to get his own people in place .... and it's gonna come from within the conference in all likeyhood according to what Is flying around by text and phone tonight.
If Chris Matlock is not given a position within this university ... a prominent position, after the way thus was handled .... boosters in my circle will be withholding pledges and letting it be known that this was not cool.
