These divisions would be stupid, Alabama would have to play teams like UF and UGA every year, while LSU can get Mizzou and Kentucky...............................
as opposed to the 2013 schedule for LSU?

LSU plays UGA and UF this year
Bama has UT and UK
Bama has UT and UK

Go find a Big 10 board and try to fix their weak arse league.
Meyer must have gotten tired of trying to paddle up stream against the SEC's unfair scheduling rules, so he came to the B1G where fairness for all is the rule.
We will have a charity matchup between Indiana and Purdue, who are in-state rivals.

Lulz. You mean where OSU plays in a weak league and gets to be the Big1 champion more than the others. I think I am understanding your definition of fair now.

Too bad Saban ran like a scared chicken from the Big-Ten.
Sooner or later, Scarlet will meet Crimson; Saban can run, but he can't hide from my Buckeyes forever!

There are many equitable and fair solutions to the imbalance in SEC scheduling, but none are acceptable to the majority if it causes them to play LSU or Florida more often over the next decade.
LSU and Florida are being held victims to the tyranny of the majority simply for being so good for so long.
If LSU somehow would win the SEC Championship game this season, I would understand if their fans chanted GO TO HELL SEC, GO TO HELL--over and over and over during the trophy presentation.
Considering how unfair LSU's last couple of schedules have been in comparison to all the other teams in the SEC West, the SEC should be embarrassed and ridiculed by the rest of the college football world.
It would be good stuff hearing the CBS announcers explaining why the LSU fans are telling the SEC where to go on national TV.

Actually yhe easiest thing to do would be to move Arkansas and LSU to the Big XII, then move Mizzou to the west where they belong.
This would accomplish several things:
1) aTm and Mizzou would play every year so there would be some carry over there from their Big XII days.
2) Auburn/UGA, Bama/Tenn and Auburn/Bama all continue annually without issue.
3) SEC returns to a more manageable 12 teams and a 5-2-1 schedule.
4) LSU and Ark are now in a conference that fits them more geographically and don't have to worry about SEC bias.

Hold your breath, loser. The vast majority of SEC fans will always take pride in the fact that the SEC curb stomps your bush league conference at every opportunity, so forget your glaringly obvious attempt to cause trouble and run along...this is a family affair!

dude, take arkansas and LSU out of the sec, than missouri and texas a&M don't fit and would probably join the big 12 too. The best move is put florida in the west:
East: UK, Vols, Vandy, SC, UGA, bama, Auburn
West: Ole Miss, Miss state, LSU, Texas A&M, Ark, Missouri, UF
only permeant game is UF/UGA. I don't see any problem for UF. They keep UGA. Right now they don't play bama and auburn so they drop UK, Vols, vandy and SC big whoop every year. The get to play the razorbacks.

First off, none of this is going to happen, but since we are living in Fantasyland here...
Is there any rule that says that we have to do this east/west?
Or geographically at all?
These are the games that we want to preserve:
Alabama/Auburn
Miss/Miss St
Alabama/Tenn
Auburn/UGA
Tenn/Vandy
Tenn/Kent
Florida/UGA
So, in one division:
Alabama
Auburn
Tennessee
Kentucky
Vandy
UGA
Florida
In the other:
LSU
Arkansas
Miss
Miss St
South Carolina
A&M
Mizzou
Yeah, SC is kind of in the boonies from the rest of their division, but so is Mizzou now, and besides, this is the 21st century.
If you think about it, it is Alabama and Auburn that makes it hard. Geographically, switch Auburn and Mizzou and it works perfect. But then, Bama and Auburn don't play every year.
Then again, they went 50 years without playing and the world did not end.

So you don't want to preserve UF/LSU? What a shock.

This is THE answer and the one, at least all Bama fans I know want to see. I couldn't care less about how weak the West is because I don't concern myself with others schedules. If you're good enough you'll win. If we drop perm opponents there is no issue from other fans in that we will play Florida, USCe and UGA every year. If we keep perms I don't care who we play from the west (If I had to pick I would keep the hwy 82 game since its the oldest of our west opponents) but yes, this is the answer and this is what I think will happen. This idea is actually starting to pick up steam around the B'ham area as the solution amoung the call-in shows. It's easy, makes geographical sense and everybody gets what they want. I hope and believe we go this route at the end of the day. I don't believe LSU- Bama would meet yearly either way unless it's in the SECCG. Great game but everybody up here is tired of the gnashing of teeth and bitterness towards Bama. We'd rather annually just remove that game and maybe meet in Atlanta instead.

I'd be fine with going to the East, regardless of how easy the West becomes. No need to bitch, moan and cry because you have too hard of a schedule. I'd love to have Florida, UGA, Tennessee and Bama on an annual basis.

If you want change, just reset the divisions.
DIV A
Bama
Vandy
AU
MIZZ
UGA
OM
MSU
Div B
UF
USC
UT
LSU
A&M
UK
Arky

I'd move Florida and Missouri or Vanderbilt to the West instead of Kentucky.
Posted on 6/10/13 at 12:15 pm to monsterballads
Keep Kentucky, give up Vandy, and the east can go ahead and start their own conference.

I love how geography is a more objective way of splitting the divisions yet it is determined an unfair solution. Also permanent opponents are just ridiculous.
One reason I am going to Athens to the LSU-UGA game this season is because the opportunities to see LSU play at these venues will be so rare under the stupid rules.
