You do know that Texas was awful and an afterthought before Brown got to Texas? As was UNC? People think Texas was a powerhouse and was top 5 every year are just dumb or uninformed.

You do know that LSU was awful and an afterthought before Saban got to LSU?

You do know that Florida was awful and an afterthought before Spurrier got to Florida?

Texas and Georgia should be a perennial powerhouse most years with the right coach.

You're clearly a simpleton so I'll keep it brief, can't you see that you are the one using moral victories here? UGA's wins over you don't count since we didn't win the national title. Whatever helps you deal with all those losses to Georgia. Approaching 50 now, mouth breather.

UGA and Auburn. I still laugh at that 2011 UGA choke job against Michigan state.

No not really they are not only school in state.

Texas was not ranked in top 10 from 92? Florida was good before Spurrier, but don't let facts confuse you.

Not really. Until Spurrier, UF had never won an officially recognized SEC football championship in 57 seasons of trying!

Florida was bad their entire history up until 1960, when they hired Ray Graves.

Graves coached there from 1960-1969 and brought Florida its first 9-win season. He had 3 9-win seasons and coached Spurrier, who won the Heisman. Under Graves they produced 3x the number of All-American as they had in the prior 50 years! They'd been that bad!

Then Dickey took over and they sucked again from 1970-1978.

Then Charlie Pell took over, stumbled out the gate, then rallied and had 3 or 4 good years before getting the team on probation and he got canned.

Galen Hall was named HC next and did fairly well under probation but himself had a scandal and got fired.

Then Spurrier was hired and Florida became Florida.

I know there won't be any Florida fans posting here over the next month, but on the rare chance that USMC Gators decides to not pussy out of his bet, I'm offering this bump. I've got a great sig lined up for you.

The backup school will lose their 9th game to Richt in two weeks. Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about you.

Historically, it's South Carolina. They have six bowl wins and two conference championships in their entire history even though they've always had tremendous fan support and is located in very fertile recruiting territory (borders NC and GA in addition to having a good talent base in SC). In the AP era, their winning percentage is similar to programs like Oklahoma State and NC State even though their potential is closer to schools like Georgia and LSU. It's really pathetic how much they underachieved before Holtz and Spurrier.

Easily UGA. If they could just close off the state in recruiting and pull a few out of state guys they'd be unstoppable. Hopefully they'll give Mark Richt a lifetime contract.
