As an Alabama fan, I'm excited about Henry, but let's hold the phone for a minute. He had one good game against Oklahoma's sorry excuse for a defense. Granted they said in bowl practice it looked like Henry was finally starting to click.

Both will be back ups this year so no telling. 600-800 yards each with good YPC and 5 or so TD is my guess

Henry just looks like he's faster than ....DBs WRs etc. whenever he runs. It's crazy. He's a physical freak.

I agree we don't have a lot of play time to look back on in 2013, plus we still have KD and TY. I think DH will start 2nd on the depth chart but will jump Yeldon after he fumbles a couple times. Henry probably has the most talent of all the Rbs we have on our team.

I'll say DH goes for 1,300

This based on his 8 carries against a poor OU Defense ?

Henry will be lucky to get 1000 imho. Yeldon was the only backup to have 1000 under Saban I believe, and that was mainly because Lacy battled turf toe all year. If Fournette eventually can make it into the starting lineup, he should have well over 1000.

I'm not picking Fournette over anybody until I actually see him run in college against college lines. Henry was supposed to be a beast last year but didn't really make his mark until the bowl game. Predicting running backs' performances in the transition from HS to college is just too fraught with unfounded assumptions.

thats a good point. i think Fournette has less talent in front of him. the biggest thing holding him back is not being on campus yet.

If you watched him, you have to admit he's pretty damned scary. Kid's got power and a motor.

Henry will be behind Yeldon. I don't see Magee holding onto the starting job over Fournette. And plus, Miles probably promised LF a 1000 yard season as a recruiting ploy so he'll make sure it happens.

So Fournette.

McGee is no slouch. He will be the starter for a while. Has more speed than people credit him for.

Look at what the OU Defense gave up against those great RBs (household names) from TX, Baylor, ND and OSU.

Haven't seen Fournette yet. I did see Henry. Dude looks like an absolute beast. Both teams like to run the ball. Both will have unproven QB's. I will say Henry just because he already has a year in the college game.

I think Fournette gets more than Henry. I think Fournette gets about 1,200, and Henry gets about 1,000.

I have no idea what the RBs from those teams did, but there's a reason I specifically said "If you watched him." The point was to gauge the player, not the quality of a defense that he had no choice about facing. From actually watching him, you can pretty much confirm what I said, I think. If you want to argue he's actually weak and slow, go for it.

He is a player. And is deceptively fast.
