and I saw him break a 50 year old record in high school.
But it's okay to use high school accomplishments for the Alabama guy, right?

Talent however is something you can see without numbers. I've seen Derrick Henry leave division 1 defensive backs in the dust
Well how about you watch this video of Fournette racing past a bunch of fellow players in all star practice. 15 yards downfield in 1 hand touch.

I understand you try hard sometimes to shed the homer tag you've been pegged with on this board
You're damn sure trying to take that from him.

If stats an competition are the deciding factor, Trey Quinn is the best WR in the country

I'm good with that.
You know how these Alabama fans love their stats.

Well they've both completed HS, so at this point that's the only common denominator. Is it not?
Henry wasn't playing in Rhode Island, he played in Florida.

Clearly a great indicator. A flag football game against other 17 year olds.
The point i'm making is that you can't definitively say one is more talented than the other like you're trying to do. Especially considering the physical measurables of Derrick Henry. I was saying that in my opinion, that is obviously subject to change based on the little we all know in this particular comparison, Henry is more talented. You can disagree with that all you want, you can't dispell that as a viable possibility though. Because as I pointed out, he is 6'3" 240 with breakaway speed, and he does have collegiate carries

Some of the best players in the country.

look, i'm not trying to say LF isnt a great player. everyone seems to think he is supremely talented.
but the fact that you are leaning on a highlight from a 7 on 7 scrimmage in shorts and no pads to prove your position is just so ludicrous that it becomes laughable.

I'm not leaning on that.
But it's ridiculous that a guy can get 15 yards downfield in a 1 hand touch game, against the best recruits in the country.
If you wanna argue that Derrick Henry is better because he's bigger, keep beating that drum.

You seem to be implying that it is outside the realm of possibility that Henry could be a better back than Fournette.

I'm a better back than LF

it means next to nothing.
the most interesting thing i got out of that clip was from the headline that Fournette has a troubled past. What's up with that?

Does anyone disagree that these two will be the top two backs over the next 2-3 years in the SEC? I don't know why one has to be picked. It's hard to disrespect two guys who would be the centerpiece of most any offense.

Also since both are pretty much on the same level "talent" wise. Whoever has more rushing yards would probably be due in large part to how much offense leans on running game, how many other backs in offense get significant touches, and most importantly their respective offensive lines.

What I've gathered from this thread and others like it is that the Alabama contingent here will always assume their guy is better.

Nope. Wade thinks this is a laughable statement and he's proven time and time again that he's a very intelligent poster

What I've gathered from this thread is everybody thinks "their guy" is better. LSU, Bama, Auburn, Vandy...doesn't matter. You don't see that because, well, you think your guy is better.
