Sure, he fumbled too much last year, but when he held on to the ball, the guy would straight up burn defenses every time he got the ball, and was much more physical than I originally thought. Just sayin', the guy has some SERIOUS talent if he can hold on to the ball.

Sounds like Mario Fannin

Both are incredibly talented backs.

LF is probably more talented, but will Les start him as a true frosh? It isn't his running skill that will determine that, but how well he picks up blocking packages, recognizes blitzes, etc.

If LF is slow to get these down, he may RS. I *DOUBT* he will, personally, but it is certainly feasible.

There are 4 backs on scholarship. He ain't redshirting. He's going over 2,000 yards and winning the Heisman.

yeah i thought he was a well rounded player but he seemed to fizzle out.

Or he decided to start hitting people in the face when he came over the line.

He's the best running back out of high school since Adrian Peterson.

That's high school. I did say probably.

My apologies for not immediately bowing to the superior life form that is LF.

Seriously, I'm starting to think if he doesn't win the Heisman 3 straight years some people on here are automatically going to consider him a bust.

Bookmark it, cut it out, save it to your home screen. He's going for 2,000 next year and everyone will DWI.

He's probably not more talented honestly.

He played HS football as long as Henry, and didn't approach his production. And you can't coach 6'3" 240

The same people calling Fournette the best back since Peterson were calling Jimmy Clausen the best QB recruit they'd ever seen.

I expect Fournette to be a nightmare in this league for 3 years. He's everything you can ask for in a back, and he'll make a run at the heisman before he leaves, if I were a betting man

That doesn't make him more talented than Derrick Henry though. At best it's a wash

Crap

Does it need to be said that LF didn't get the same number of carries as Henry? I'm also pretty sure LF played against better competition. On top of that, being 6'3" 240 doesn't exactly make him more talented than a guy who is 6'1" 225.

And if LF isn't the best back to come out since Peterson, who is exactly?

Fournette played in the best football district in Louisiana.

From high school star to college star, Trent Richardson and Reggie Bush come to mind. I'm sorry if I'm not ready to crown a guy that's never taken a snap at the collegiate level.

Talent however is something you can see without numbers. I've seen Derrick Henry leave division 1 defensive backs in the dust, and I saw him break a 50 year old record in high school. I see his size, power, and speed. Seeing all that, no, I don't think I'd say that Fournette is more talented.

I understand you try hard sometimes to shed the homer tag you've been pegged with on this board, and you choose your battles in that regard, but I call it like I see it. Fournette is the prototype, and Henry is a different breed. It's all subjective at this point, because we don't have a sample size against common opponents, but from the tape availabale and what we do know, then you can't say Fournette > Henry

Yes, we all saw this "factoid" being repeated endlessly in the media back during recruiting season. Can we get another "factoid" for people to use, at least until Fournette actually earns his designation? This one is getting stale.
