Slive pulled strings for Georgia and A&M, left Lsu with the Chick-Fil-A. A bowl they've been to what 6 times in the past 12 years?

Slive pulled strings to protect UGA, this is true. But he pulled no strings to get A&M in the Cotton Bowl. The head of the damn Cotton Bowl committee is an A&M graduate. If Slive were pulling strings with the Cotton Bowl, it would have been to put LSU there over A&M.

Which makes it even worse. He's so hung up on LSU he reads the Advocate online.

Slive pulling strings bumped LSU out of the Cotton. The Cap 1 Bowl wanted Johnny Heisman, and LSU was the Cotton Bowl's #2. When Slive stepped in, A&M slid back to the Cotton Bowl.

Anyone remember when in 2005 11-1, #3 ranked LSU lost the SECCG and Mike Slive stepped in to stop LSU from sliding back to the Chick Fil A Bowl? Oh yeah, Slive didn't do squat that year.

Correct, but it's very inaccurate to say "Slive pulled strings for UGA and A&M" like the poster I was responding to said.

The advocate also did a "5 reasons they should stay article ". I think it's clear what their motives were but I'm sure it will be lost on most here.

It's amazing that there are any fans on the tiger rant actually agreeing with this line of thinking.

Doesn't beating Alabama cure all ills, and answer all questions raised by Rabalais? If LSU had beaten Bama this year, this article would never have been written. I am an LSU fan in every game they play except the Alabama game, and love Les Miles, but this is absurd. LSU is on the cusp of some HUGE paydays beginning with the SEC Network and once the playoff system rolls around in 2014. I hope this article is just a massive troll.

all you need to know summed up in one sentence.

Both fan bases can be drunk and obnoxious and a bit insecure at times; therefore, we are very vocal and passionate towards our teams and against our rivals.
