Slive pisses some fan base off every year. Guess this was LSU's turn.

Obviously having the Heisman winner was the key and the Cotton Bowl made best invite for their Bowl's interest. I think a few are upset that Slive was thought to be using his influence to get A&M the invite, which was taken as a big FU to LSU.

Understandable. Bowls did a shitty job selecting this year. UGA got screwed also, they beat FL. head to head and finished higher in the SEC standings. They should have gotten the Sugar bowl as #2 in the SEC and the Championship game loss should not have affected that.

If you win every game then you DON'T have to worry about being in a shitty bowl! Deal with it!

The Sugar Bowl's selection had nothing to do with SEC ranking. They choose the highest BCS-ranked SEC team.

That article is full of insecurity. The schedule thing...where was LSU writers when Bama had 6 straight SEC opponents 5 who had byes and Bama without one?

So tough scheduling is cyclical? No way!

Not in favor of LSU leaving the conference but would also not be opposed to disbanding of all conferences and just having an open format for college football with no bowl tie-ins

Slive used his influence to show support to his expansion move? I know it's a big sleight, but it shows conference solidarity by telling Texas and the rest of the Big XII to blow us. tells them that Texas A&M was a commodity and they blew it.

Besides, was anything less than Miami really what LSU fans wanted this year? After last year? Slive was just doing his job. Unfortunately someone had to feel a slight prick from the needle, and unfortunately for all of us, it happened to be the most insecure fanbase outside of the Cubs franchise.

I think Saban has a worse record than normal after byes. Not certain on that one but thought his record wasn't all that great after byes. Again not positive about that and I am sure somebody will post after me with the stats.

There was also a story listing 5 reasons LSU should stay in the SEC.

LSU leaving the SEC will never happen. The writer is just rattling the cage a little.

I am sure Texas would be much more gentle with LSU's tender and sore butt when it comes to interconference politics than Alabama.

That journalist basicily said "Bama and Saban make us want ti quit." (Snicker)
