Before Billy D's run, Florida had zero tradition. Even now Florida has way less tournament appearances than Tennessee. Right coach will catapult Tennessee into an elite basketball program. Tennessee's fan support on basketball is on par with UK, UNC, Syracuse, Indiana, Louisville. UT has a world class arena and top notch facilities, UF doesn't.

No, we're acting like Tennessee can do better than a coach who finds himself on the bubble year after year no matter the talent level. And the last 15+ years show we're correct.

Our last 3 coaches before Cuonzo made the tourney 10/14 years. That's a 70% clip. He's made it once in 3 years.

hey, i'm right there with you... UT's end of the season was a little bit of fools gold, and no way with their talent it should've come down to a play in for the 11 seed.

and UT is likely to take a step back next year with what they're losing... again, this may be the right move for UT, but they might find it difficult to find a replacement... when you consider the expectations don't appear to match the reality of the program.

I'm curious about Tennessee's average attendance rankings over the last several years, because it hasn't been posted twice already. Would a Tennessee poster please kindly post the list for us?

Before Pearl, UT had one less Sweet Sixteen appreance than AU, and we both have the same Elite Eight appreances. The more you know.

As an aside, if you knew the Vols would not match, and you were the AD at Marquette, would you offer a lower amount knowing you might pick up the coach at a "discount"?
