He is number one on the Marquette list.

And Strong was UTx's number one choice.
What do the Vol fans want? Do they want him to stay or go?

3 of our last 4 coaches have made at least one Sweet 16.
Who are Tennessee's last 4 coaches? Cuonzo Martin, Bruce Pearl, Alan Houston's dad, and who else?

Pearl was obviously very good. I believe this year is the first time Cuonzo has made the tournament. I remember Alan Houston's dad being terrible

I would say Tennessee is a job where a good coach can win as Bruce Pearl proved, but it is not a job where just anybody can win as several other coaches have proven

Who are some of the candidates for Tennessee if Cuonzo leaves?

Personally I'm throwing money at: Tony Bennett, Shaka Smart, Richard Pitino, Danny Manning, and Donnie Tyndal.

And a few interesting possibilities: Tubby Smith, Bob Huggins, Rick Byrd, and maybe Mark Few is ready for a new change of scenery.

Hopefully volnation will stop living in the past and be more realistic about their current standing in the athletic landscape

I sure wish our basketball program was as shitty as theirs.

Even now Florida has way less tournament appearances than Tennessee.

And yet we have 5 Final Fours to your 0

(BTW, way less?.... you have been to 20 NCAA tournaments, we have been to 19)

No way this is the case, if it happened

We're acting like Tennnessee should at least try to have some success.

So Sweet 16 =/= success?

To your program it should.

He is good guy. Can vouch for him personally. Would be great hire. Pass it on.

It would be like us hiring Nutt from Arkansas. Both fan bases rejoice, but only one knows the truth. Then 4 years down the road the one who thought they had a home run hire comes back and says "You were right"

TL;DR: frick Houston Nutt.

No Tennessee fans would rejoice if we hired Haith.

It was pretty obviously a fake tweet. If we even considered hiring Haith I would burn down Dave Hart's house.

All I know is you assholes better stay away from Michael White. He's ours in a few years once Kennedy is gone and the new arena is done.

I'm skeptical. Why would Auburn put this in his contract knowing Cuonzo's seat was warm?
