It's a lot like the Mizzou v Vandy thread the other day.

No reason for these teams to be discussed this long.

Irrelevant if he can recruit talent like Alex Collins to Arkansas

I'd push his damn wheelchair to the game as long as we keep pulling in kids like Collins

Meanwhile at Missouri, you are a little more worried about recruiting...but your coach doesn't stumble!! Oh wait... your coach doesn't exactly seem fleet of foot here. Hmm...

Oh, the dwi video. Very original and fresh. Btw, that was voted the most polite dwi arrest on the internets. A little better than crashing a bike with another on board and getting a paid off officer to try to cover it up.

At least Beils gives wankers like yourself a hot wife fantasy to think about.

Didn't Pinkel recruit the number one player in the country?

You're right. Teams that have never won the SEC should STFU.

I'm so glad y'all are proud of a "polite" dwi. We don't break laws here, however

Being drunk on your motorcycle and crashing, trying to cover it up with a paid off officer isn't breaking the law? Oh.

Umm... haha.

Or that $20M (which isn't $20M in profit, but revenue) pays off the previous two coaches.

It does not matter, those were rough numbers and the Tennessee Fund was not included. You can argue issues till you are blue in the face but I look at income and cash flow.

Neyland was up to 104.0K before they dropped back to 102.5 and have been the alpha dog in capacity in the SEC for quite some time. TB was 25.5K before they did the corporate suites but still seat 21.5K which means they are #2 behind Rupp. Faurot is listed at 67K now and slated to 77K by 2015. Mizzou arena seats 15K. These capacities are all known and even if the Tigers SOLD every football and basketball game (men and women) they still can not sell tickets for capacity that does not exist.

On top of this the Vols have "brand" value in all sports that sell their facilities.

# 8 Tennessee Football = 629,752 (and the Vols are at rock bottom)
#24 Missouri Football = 472,333
629,752 - 472,333 = 157,419 Vols over Tigers attendance
(viewed another way Mizzou would need 2.35 more SOLD OUT home games to equal Tennessee)

# 8 Tennessee Basketball = 314,321
#3? Missouri Basketball = 201,117 (Texas was #30 with 215,097)
314,321 - 201,117 = 113,204 Vols over Tigers attendance
(viewed another way Mizzou would need 7.55 more SOLD OUT home games to equal Tennessee)

# 1 Tennessee Women Basketball = 205,027
#91 Missouri Women Basketball = 27,929
205,027 - 27,929 = 177,098 Vols over Tigers attendance
(viewed another way Mizzou would need 11.81 more SOLD OUT home games to equal Tennessee)

Tennessee has some structural inefficiencies and other issues which will impact its ability to move forward.

What are these inefficiencies? They have 3 solid brands in their portfolio which gets them national exposure and provides national content for media values.

edit for correct positions for women's basketball attendance.

Have fun with this one, retards.

You're all equally retarded.

I'll refrain from ever trying to have a simple discussion on here again.

For those of you who actually tried to have a discussion, thank you.

As for the rest of you dumbshits. You can all die in a fricking dumpster fire.

Can you explain why?

WVU has an inferior state. Inferior school. Inferior market. Extremely comparable football programs. MU better overall athletic department.

There are good reasons why the smart guys making the decisions at the SEC made the one they did.

You need to figure out a way to type way less. This isn't your personal blog. You write multiple paragraph responses to everything.

Or just Google "Tennessee athletic budget". Whatever you want.

Money quote:

The athletic department spends a startling $21 million a year on debt payments, $13.5 million of which comes from the school’s stressed $99.5 million athletic budget and the rest from donations.

Sounds efficient.
