Wouldnt be the first time a parent, especially a father, had a very hard time with the news that his son is homosexual. Hopefully he will come to accept it and remember the kid is still his son.

I also wouldnt be at all surprised if he isnt very embarrassed. Who would like to find out that kind of news at the same time as the whole world?

I think I could handle it intellectually, but the first time the son showed up with a male "significant other"... I'd have a very big problem to deal with personally.

And then imagine that your son had been the SEC Defensive POY and you're bragging him up to all your peeps.

It's easy to think how you'd react in a vacuum, but finding out your son (who bears your name, no less) is gay can't be easy.

Maybe the news hasn't hit in Arkansas, but gay couples can adopt. Or hire a surrogate to handle the biology.

Well Henry I hate to burst your bubble but I have have two gay children and no problem accepting them. I do have very little use for those who call me a liar.

Sam is lucky that he is not in his life. His favorite spots are Denny's and Applebee's. That says all I need to know about the man.

Oddly enough, my thoughts as well.

You have no idea if Denny's or Applebee's are his favorite spots. I've been to plenty of shitty restaurants, but it doesn't mean they're my favorite. I might have been with someone from work that wanted to go there. I can't always tell them where to go.

Missouri people do y'all really have no better drinking establishments anywhere?

In all fairness, even though the Sam family lives in Texas which renders the context of the question moot, it still deserves an answer.

The answer to your question though depends on a couple things.
1. Do you like Stag beer?
1A. Do you like warm Stag beer?

If you answered "no" to either of the above then...well, not really no.

Texas is so full of the gay they have to export it to Missouri now.

Is that better?

Also, what happened to dining at Kettle (Spanish for next door to LaQuinta).

Denny's? Pffft.

Well for starters Mr. Sam two males cannot make a child, so you likely wont have a grandchild that way.

Secondly, wtf are you doing at Applebees?

Trash.

None of the above. Nor is his son. There are two sides of the aisle in most cases like this and both are firmly entrenched in their own side. God bless America.

Applebee's happy hour is no joke. Last time I was in there tall 22oz bud light drafts were .99 and apps were all half off.

JMO but telling your dad you're gay via text message instead of face to face is kind of shitty. That would probably be more upsetting than the actual news of being gay.
