Yeah, uh, no. Football team will prevent that.

Translation #1:

"We have very shitty fans that have chanted 'frick you Saban' and 'frick you Tebow' that was clearly audible on TV. We've had to ban certain songs our band plays due to vulgar cheers being added by our fans. We've even had our administration take out ads in the Reveille (the student paper) to beg fans not to embarrass the school on national tv. This is just us giving up and just one step away from banning opposing fans altogether because we can't control our fans' atrocious behavior."

Translation #2:

"We're broke. We can only afford to send our full band to one away game a year. So if we can't afford to send our full band away, we're going to discourage other schools from sending their full band here."

Translation #3:

"We're just awful people."

LSU only sends the full band to one away game each season. That won't change.

Hopefully, they don't let a single trumpet at another sec game.

And cut the allotment for tickets which LSU recives by that much.

You do realize that away game allotments are equal right? So if you cut their allotment, they will cut yours?

Which other schools do not allow visiting bands to march on their field?

Yeah, I haven't seen the golden band play at many away games at halftime so I am ok with this. I suspect other SEC schools will follow suit. You can still bring the band just won't perform at half. Will save money

All joking aside, if LSU doesn't want this to happen, play better football. No reason for any band to do any of their annoying bullshite if LSU shuts them up on the field.

Nah.
A&M welcomes (encourages) away bands to play at the half.
I'd be shocked if that changed.

Since we have home and home every year with A&M it would be stupid to not follow suit

LSU brings the entire band to only ONE game per season....normally it's the now, almost annual money grab neutral site game, so I doubt the admins. give a rats arse about our opponents reaction.
PISS POOR decision....WHO decided this ??????

Most schools don't take their band to perform on the road. Most just bring like the smaller road band crew. Just off the top of my head at BDS I know Tennessee brings theirs and A&M. Probably a few others have here and there too.

It varies alot by school too, I know Alabama's sometimes does and sometimes doesn't perform on the field on the road, so it must depend on the venue and what they have planned that week for halftime, etc.

Almost every band does this.
