I think that was actually the real reason. With LSU's budget situation they can't afford to take their band to away games. They figure if other bands aren't allowed to come there then other schools won't allow them. It's a way to save face and save money.

Sister was in the MDB. She loved the trips to Baton Rouge. Unfortunate some of these kids won't get to travel and experience it if they decide to just bring a pep band.

A&M has played at Tiger stadium every game I can remmeber except for last year when they called in October and said the band was not slowed because of a BS concert.

If safety is a reason then the cheerleaders should be removed from the field immediately. They are on the field for hours while the band is there for minutes. Idiots!

If the reason your band is sent is to perform a 10 minute performance at halftime instead of performing in the stands for your fans, than you're the stupid ones. Halftimes are not shown on tv...Full bands are not banned from Tiger Stadium. I could care less if the full TBFGL performs on the field at halftime in BDS, JH, or any other away stadiums.

Because they think the "I don't care" mentality somehow makes them cool.
While there may be a sample of people on this site who feel that way (not at all shocking, based on the tenor of the website), they're in the minority of the overall population of fans.
