Just a ploy knowing most schools now will leave their bands at home.....LSU will now have another 250 tickets to sell. They need the money.

Safety my arse....Bands been performing for damn years.

Doesn't work that way. Will just be 250 more tickets for visiting fans.

I like this. LSU's stadium should be for our band and our band alone.

Apparently we do these days - lot cheaper to pipe in crazy train than to go with a college atmosphere that looks like has changed. I for one like the bands - I like the opposing teams band - damnit - if I want to hear 90's metal or 80's rap I would have season tix to an nfl team.

Funs all gone now for sure

Next they will ban opposing teams players from taking the field.

For safety reasons.

Well...apparently you'll be playing this very long song with a "pep" band from now on...LOL !

It's better with less music from the bands. We have more of a party atmosphere now.

Not sure Arkansas has much room to talk.
I'm starting to think it's an SEC thing--which is disappointing for a conference that supposedly prides itself on tradition and pageantry.
Arkansas says Texas A&M band can come, but not perform

I mean, I don't really care about this issue either way, I'm just curious what the real reason behind this decision is. Everybody can see through the safety excuse, so why?

Hopefully, they don't let a single trumpet at another sec game.

Actually, it would be more fun to give them 400 seats scattered throughout the stadium.

Yeah, I can promise you the Aggie Band's halftime drill will never be replaced by a "party atmosphere."
Then again, we don't pipe-in music into the stadium either.
Just not our style.
