we also beat 8 ranked teams that season. When is the last time Bama even had to PLAY 8 ranked teams???

LSU fans: thank us anytime. Slive and Missouri made a deal that if we took the loss vs OU and allowed LSU to take our place in the BCSNG, he would give us an invite to the SEC when the Big 12 finally started to crumble. It was a sacrifice we had to make

The only thing embarrassing about that- is that we got shut out by a non conference champion. Had we been shut out by a team that actually was a champ of its conference- it wouldn't have been so embarrassing.

Looking at that final BCS poll, it appears LSU played #3 Virginia Tech, #12 Florida, and #23 Auburn in the regular season that year. Looks like Bama will have at LEAST VT, TAMU and LSU in the final regular season rankings this year.

That's true - the same team they beat at that team's house in the Game of the Century to win that conference. It's strange really...
Getting beat by Jordan Jefferson in your own house - I'm not sure what the word is for that...embarrassing just doesn't seem to be strong enough.
