Rushing offense and rushing defense. A great passing qb is not near as important. An effeciant, mistake free qb to compliment the run is all you need. But you need to be dominant up front and be able to run the ball over all else or it's over.

No running game gets you destroyed. No run defense will leave you mauled and mangled. How many teams fit this bill?

Not very many. Florida is coming on, but Georgia relys on Murray to much. The answer? Alabama, LSU, USCe.

I am captainfrickingobvious and you better love it.

Do you honestly think that the secret could be wrapped up in 4 lines?

You need an above average kicking game as well.

Mike Slive is doing his best to try and cripple the SEC power IE our defense by suspending players for no reason.

Great DTs and LBs. It's what sets the SEC elite apart.

If you watch all the espn experts, etc, while the coaches in the flag football leagues don't get it, the talking heads are catching on, too. They lose them some Bama and LSU.

Oh wait, no, they love Bama and hate on LSU. That's right. They hate LSU.

It's rather simple.

1. RUN THE BALL- in the SEC , if the turnover margin is equal, the team that leads the game in rushing , wins 85% of the time

2. Stop the run- see # 1

You basically just stated what LSU and Alabama are good at. Auburn was dominant a couple years ago and this does not hold true. You're argument is invalid.

I disagree. The key is an elite defensive line.

If teams can dominate the NFL throwing 80% of the time, then a team can dominate the SEC throwing 80% of the time.

Also, you sound like an old man. Old people always LOVE talking about running the ball.

Big difference between the nfl and sec when it comes to throwing the ball. If you can't run, just about all college offenses will stall. The nfl has much better qb's and offenses. Running the ball is much easier to implement and implement well.

Ask lane kiffen and USC.

1) Take $180,000

2) Find a direct descendant of the Greek God Zeus

3) Find a bag man

4) Optional but if you really want greatness, hire John L. Smith to coach your team.

How has having a gunslinger QB, great receivers and no running to speak of worked out for UT lately?
