Like how UGA has historically played by far the SEC’s weakest schedule of the Big 6 teams? Yes that too should be mentioned.

That’s at the bottom of the list. Try not forgetting everything else

The problem with just “Big 6” games all time is it rewards programs that played Florida in the 1940s while discounting teams who played Ole Miss.. who was a powerhouse in that day.

It doesn’t count tough conference games played against Georgia Tech back when they were strong, etc.

This is a much better way of showing all time conference SOS: Games played against Final AP ranked SEC opponents (1936-2022)

Auburn- 207
Alabama- 192
Florida- 192
LSU- 190
Tennessee- 179
Georgia- 167

This is why just looking at conference titles and conference win% can be very deceiving. Obviously one of these has played historically a much more difficult conference schedule. And another team has played a much easier one.

1. Bama- 43.75% (81-104-6)
2. Florida- 35.68%. (67-122-3)
3. Auburn- 33.82% (67-134-6)
4. Tennessee- 30.45%. (49-119-11)
5. LSU- 25.53% (45-132-7)
6. Georgia- 25.15%. (40-123-4)

So what’s the win percentage, in those games, for each team? I see you posted it, thanks!

Definitely not UTjr. They have a losing record all-time to UF and ZERO Heismans.

Heisman is a JOKE. You damn well known Manning and Shuler both should have won it. Both got snubbed ha d especially Manning. Imagine still believing the Heisman trophy has any meaning. Just a politically motivated popularity contest.

If it was a joke then you still wouldn't be pissed about something from 26 years ago.
Peyton had the chance to prove everyone wrong against Nebraska and got benched when the game was out of hand.

Charlie Ward 1993 stats
264-380 (69.5%) 3,032 yards 27 TDs 5 INTs

Heath Shuler 1993 stats
184-285 (64.6%) 2,354 yards 25 TDs 8 INTs

How the hell should Shuler have won it over Ward when he put up inferior stats against a weaker schedule?

Then you agree that Alabama has 18 titles?

There is a Barner in this thread claiming head-to-head records don't matter because Auburn played a harder schedule than Georgia.

Gee. I wonder why you chose 1979 as the cutoff point. I'm sure there must be a reason. If only I could think.

Some of these people almost have to be trolls, don't they? I mean does he actually believe what he is saying?

As for me? I don't think you can make a whole lot of distinction between Tennessee, LSU and Georgia. Auburn may have slipped a bit, but not by much. Obviously we are talking all time.

Oklahoma and Texas will be absent from rankings until they can win a national championship while members of the SEC. Sooners are an automatic #2 in the SEC when that happens. Nationally it’s obvious OU is top five. Conference-wise, OU is unranked.
