I’ve done it before but don’t have the numbers handy. I just remember Alabama has the most total wins against other Big 6 teams while LSU was dead last.

It was Tennessee for a LONG time.
In 2001 a shift occured. LSU upset a far superior Tennessee team in the SEC Championship Game. The 2 programs went in complete opposite directions over the last 20 years since.
The next year, UGA then got on the train and has rode side by side with LSU as we both made up TONS of ground on the Vols.
I don't know if either of us has passed Tennessee officially. We may all 3 be battling this out now for awhile since Tennessee seemingly has returned.

LSU, Georgia, Texas, Florida, Tennessee, and Auburn are 3-8 in that order, but the separation between those six is smaller than the separation between #2 Oklahoma and #3 LSU… and also tighter than the gap between #8 Auburn and #9 Texas A&M.

To be fair, we rarely ever played Tennessee until 1992.
We also barely played Auburn until we became division rivals in 1992.
We would play Georgia occasionally, but this was still rare.
We started playing Florida annually in the 70's.
So basically we haven't had as much opportunity since the others had multiple annual rivalries with each other. All we had was Alabama.

Expansion has severely blemished conference championships and conference wins and losses as a valuable metric.

Georgia was behind Florida and Auburn in terms of program ranking up until the last two seasons. If you can surpass them in two years, you can fall back behind in just two years. In other words, the gap isn’t as big as your new money arse wants to pretend.

Yes and it’s not even close when you talk about Historically.
UT- 2nd most SEC wins
UT- 2nd most national titles (6)
UT- 2nd most conference titles (16) 13SEC, 3 Southern.
UT- 3rd most All Time wins(867) UGA(868)
UT- 2nd best all time win %(.672)
UT- Tennessee has won 485 games, the highest home-field total in college football history for any school in the nation at its current home venue.
UT- 5th largest stadium in the country, and 2nd largest in the SEC.

Oklahoma and Texas will not be in the rankings until they each win a national championship while in the SEC. When that happens, they can be mentioned.
Penn State’s position in the B1G can be up for discussion as well. While in the B1G, they’ve had one undefeated season, a few conference titles. Their other undefeated seasons and two national titles occurred as an Independent. This is OU and Texas basically. Success in other places, but not in SEC. Both will have to win a NC in the SEC to be allowed in the rankings.
