I can see 7 or 8 wins next year, depending on attrition we should compete for top spot into the west in 2015 and we should be able to year in and year out going forward

If the Aggies continue to win over LSU 4 - 2 for Texas recruits and pull a 5 star from LA the Aggies are going to be difficult to deal with.

Nice sail, since LSU still finished with the better recruiting class.

NO ONE fits that description of perennial a stupid statement.

Great programs go in runs and have 5-10 years of dominance.

A&M IS NOT a great program. Not even close.

Once said stud is gone, it will be interesting to see if Sumlin is worth all that cash.

Do y'all understand relativity? We raised more money in one year than LSU's entire endowment. We could start a brand new LSU from scratch. We aren't paying Sumlin a lot by our standards. To a bunch of swamp kittens maybe it seems like we are, but we really aren't.

And pulled 2 of the top 5 or 6 Texas recruits.

By the NCAA standards, you are paying your coach alot of money. I don't care that A&M has cash to burn. It is still alot of cash for a coach that hasn't necessarily proven that he is worth it. Sorry but your argument is poor.

We go by Texan standards, as in what Texans do.

UT just paid Mack Brown $5 million a year for YEARS for mostly Sumlin results. We are just "keeping up with the Joneses."

Sorry u poor.

You guys do realize that, since coming to the SEC, many of you are behaving exactly like the UT fans you have always derided for their arrogance, arrogance you supposedly came here to get away from....

Food for thought

Still has something that A&M won't have anytime soon. I pretty sure LSU has one of the highest paid coaching staffs in the NCAA. We may be po folks but we shell out cash when deserved.

Whatever, if A&M has all that money it makes the perennial mediocrity even more laughable.

Perennial? No. Mostly because they play in the west where 3 programs that are currently more talented and historically stronger already reside.

Practically, yeah they are a top ten type program now but the west will canabalize it's own for a while.

Aggies have enough trouble reining it in w/o your help! I like where A&M is right now and am excited about it, but there's nothing to brag about yet. 0-2 vs. LSU. To me that's the first thing that needs fixing. From there, we'll see.

And since when is A&M playing on the same financial plane as the rest of the NCAA? I think our ability to raise more money than LSU's entire endowment in one year clearly indicates y'all might be, but we certainly are not.

In two years he used a Big 12 roster to win exactly the same amount of games as Les Miles. More top 5 finishes than Les, more bowl wins, and more 11+ win seasons. In only two years. I mean if LSU is a poor standard for someone to compare themselves to, lemme know.

Well yeah, Aggies are a bunch of Texans so we are a little arrogant. Texans- whether Horns, Ags, Bears, Frogs, etc. - love to brag even without being able to back it up. I mean heck, a Texan's favorite battle was a massacre. All hat and no cattle came from Texas for a reason.

And I am sad to admit we have not reached the peaks of arrogance Texas fans have reached, at least not until we refuse to acknowledge Arky fans because "they are not the real rival" or we we boycott the SEC Network to get the Aggie Network on cable instead.
