... Who uses career carries for a measure as to whether or nor a running back is over used? It's 2-4 years. It's not as if he's taking 800 carries in a season. There's plenty of downtime. There's like... 8 months off, minus practice. And Fournette's most work loaded game in 2015 was against A&M where he carried the ball 32 times. Derrick Henry had 36, 44, and 46 carries in 3 different games last year. A lot more work than they're requiring Fournette to do if we're counting. But I really don't care. If they feel like they can take the carries and it isn't putting them in harms way, I don't care.

How many games did Derrick Henry play in his Alabama football career? 32 I think?

We are talking about what 3 games you isolated with a high number of carries?

So those are about 9% of his career games. Seems like an outlier.

Why the hell is an aggie starting a Rant topic about running backs? The only plausible Aggie started running back topic would be - What running back from other teams would we like to have?

4 games with 36 or more carries all coming his last 7 college games. It's not like these were really spread out.

Well, not currently, but about 7 or 8 games into the season Les will have ridden his arse til his tongue drags and he won't be worth a shite. He'll probably get 30 carries against Jacksonville State.

Its easier to get sacks early in the season and vs lesser competition. SEC teams gameplan for Myles. It isn't rocket science.

Your weird argument would hold weight if DH had gotten hurt. Then you could point to it and say "see look I'm right. Bad for the career."

But in 5 years if DH washes out do you really think it will be because he carried the ball a lot in 4 games, years ago?

TBH this whole argument is dumb because neither of them will be worn out.
This list from https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/leaders/rush-att-player-career.htmlis littered with players that finished with many more attempts and went on to have great Pro careers.

An injury can happen at any given moment to any player that sets foot on the field whether he has 1 carry or 1200.

Nothing weird about it, it's entirely logical. And no, you dont have to be hurt for it to be higher risk. It's called risk for a reason.

Who on this list started as a true freshman and played all 3 years? Serious question.

Does Fournette have more attempts in more years?

So Gurley, a guy who missed a season.. has more carries?

And Henry has 600+ and you are wondering about Fournette?

Wtf

Kinda skewed since he was the starting running back since he stepped foot on campus and the others either had to wait their turn or wasted a year with injuries.

Henry has 600 in 3 years

LF will have close to 800 if not more in 3 years.

Please tell me you understand basic math

Henry didn't start his whole career at Alabama while Fournette has at LSU since he was a freshman. Why are you even comparing the two?

Fournette will get less carries this year than last due to Guice.

Since some consider Fournette to be the next Adrian Peterson or atleast similar, I would compare his workload to his. Even with the amount of carries AD had and the injuries he's still had a long productive career in the NFL.

Was booger the starter for LSU his freshman year? Seems like it was somebody else, at least in the Bama game.
