Henry had 4 games with more carries last season than Fournette has ever had in a game. That's running a RB into the ground. Miles does a pretty good job not to do that to Fournette. IF you spread it out over a lot of games, it's much less impacting.
So it's more hurtful to rush a high number of times in a low number of games throughout a career then it is to rush a high number of times throughout a career?

when you've got a horse like Four Eggs, you've got to give him the rock.
If Les doesn't, and they lose, Les is roasted over the coals.
It's LSU. Four Eggs went there knowing he was going to be featured and that's what he got. It will suit him well and it will earn him a well deserved paycheck in the NFL.
It was said earlier, he is damned fun to watch.

Having 2 games in a row where you carry the ball 90 times is more damaging to a RB than 100 carries over 4 games. You get worn out and tired and that's when your body feels it the most. Recovery time happens between games, afterall, you get 6 days to recover (if need be).
Freak injuries are just that though, freak. You can have a guy get a bad injury in his first college game of his career or be like LT and take 3000 carries over your first 10 NFL seasons like no sweat.

7 month long offseason surely isn't enough time recover and get ready to do it all again

Selfish Les trying to ruin booger.
Trying to save his job by working this guy like a slave.

Four eggs? What the frick are you on?

More damaging for the immediate future after those 90 carries but doesnt more total carries still have a higher chance of damaging over the course of a career? Don't they always talk about RBs have a shelf life? That's from total carries on a body, not high volume in a short time right?

some in game thread someone's ipad/iphone autocorrected Fournette to four eggs.

Again, plenty of RBs have had thousands of carries over their career. I would go to bet a lot of them didn't get run into the ground as often as what Saban did Henry, too. You have your highest risk when you decide to put tired guys into games who have high chance of injury. RB is a very high risk job with the way you get tackled.

Good lord what a terrible talking point. LF will finish with possibly 150 or more carries.
Just stop

If Saban ran DH into the ground wouldn't he have gotten injured?
Just to bring it all back to our original point of contention. You believe a high volume in a short time period is more impactful in a RBs career than total volume to date. Right?

The ball's not heavy. Ride your horse.

An injury isn't a guarantee, it's a risk. The risk goes up greatly when you give your guy 44 and 46 carries in single game situation, not hard to understand.
Also, again, what do YOU think is worse:
RB A runs 300 times over 12 games, never has more than 30ish carries in any one of those games
RB B runs 300 times over 12 games, has game highs of 38, 44 and 46 carries

Henry didn't seem tired, while his was gashing LSU in the fourth, same with Au, UF etc. Hell the defenders at that point were avoiding contact, he had made them quit basically and was having his way with then.

A similar year to 2015 minus a rain out easily cements him as the greatest SEC RB of all time
