My thing is isn't he guaranteed one game per SEC rules since he was ejected in the second half?

Yes, which is the elephant in the room.

Miles isn't punishing him, that is why everyone associated with LSU should be embarrassed...

Again why should LSU fans be embarrassed?

It's an embarrassment not just to LSU, but to all of college football.

How do you know Coach Miles is not punishing him?

Secret dog house I am usually cool with, but here I don't know.

I would have like to see 2 games. I see your mandatory suspension and raise it one

Wouldn't the NCAA game be a plus one? He automatically sits a game for being tossed in second half.

That was the dirtiest hit I have ever seen.

Yes, if there were any way to prove it would have happened if the next game had been against, say, Bama. Unfortunately, there's no way to prove that, right?

But, seriously, it was a nasty hit and flagrant personal foul, but it wasn't -- as far as I could tell -- an attempt to do serious or long-term damage. People get hit that hard legally during games. So a one game suspension sounds about right for a first offense, with zero tolerance from here on out.

Also, Les needs to call his momma and tell her exactly what her boy has been getting up to lately.

If he could convince me he thought the play was still live, I can live with the mandatory one game. If not, then should be more than one game.

Y'all need to stop being media cucks. It was a dirty late hit. A one game suspension is actually more punishment than normal for that. Why are people not up in arms every time a Qb is hit late?

Oh yeh, since the media isn't telling you to be mad about it, I guess you don't care about this Wisky player trying to twist Fournettes ankle in a pile. This is far more dirty than Bouttes hit

Actually, by rule it is mandatory 1 game suspension.

What his is receiving is nothing more than what by rule is required, when he should be.

No it is not and don't even try to defend it.

What he did is the equivalent of kicking a defenseless war hero in the head as he lie on the ground outside a bar.

Dude, you are comparing late to dirty. This wasn't a late hit, it was too late to be.

First, it is strange the cuck meme is so prevalent on this board. The fact you are following suite is a bit ironic. Second, I haven't seen a thing about it in the media and said how dirty it was the second it happened. Maybe you are just being a homer.

but is a one game suspension (against a rent-a-win) enough for the malicious hit we saw from Boutte?

The SEC has accepted it, so yes it is. Two years ago during a winning effort where Mississippi State exorcized the demons of 19 consecutive losses to LSU, its center on at least three occasions gut stompped defensless LSU players on the ground. Only after the SEC got involved did Dan Mullins suspend the player for a one game suspension (against a rent-a-win).

That player's conduct was arguably as malicious and with potentially greater harmful consequences to the defenseless players he targeted. I don't recall then this level of outrage and scandal.

I am amazed at all of the holier than thou moralizing and self-righteous indignation from LSU fans, detractors and the media on this hit. One guy on another post said it was the worst hit he had seen in 50 years. Really?

Personally, I'd suspend him for a minimum of three games to make an example of him and have some time to work on his bearing and self-control.
