I would be happy with 2 would you?

3 games.

If this happened in the NFL he would likely be suspended for 2 and fined the equivalent of one game pay.

Two would have been perfect. He will catch hell for one game since they play an easy team next week. He would likeley have rested the second half anyway.

Let LSU and the SEC handle this. Let us LSU alumni determine whether the punishment is appropriate or not. We don't need any of the goat chasers from the Dixie Chicken telling us how to run our program. Y'all keep the CSPD busy enough.

That's exactly the defense I would go with. One of these actually fits the definition of "red handed".

They will. This is just a discussion. You have the choice to participate or not.

I'm fine with whatever Les does, it's his team and his player. Does not change the fact that it was dirty, real dirty.

If unintentional in that he thought the play was still ongoing then one is enough; if intentional from the vantage point that he knew the play was dead and hit him anyway then a more severe sanction is warranted.

I'm confused why the actions of others has anything to do with the actions of LSU in punishment for this cheap shot.

I guess the majority of LSU fans think the team should vote on the appropriate punishment based on prior actions by miles.

I could careless about the eventual punishment or lack thereof. There were at least two full stadiums shocked when witnessing it live time. Easiest ejection ever.

I had no more disappointment to give at that point in time. Pretty disappointed now

My thing is isn't he guaranteed one game per SEC rules since he was ejected in the second half?

The player from USC while not as violent as Boutte was certainly flagrant and ruled as such but he is only sitting for the first half of the game so I don't think it's a rule unless it's targeting.

Sounds right - saw SEC commissioner comment that he accepted LSU decesion. I think he probably would have had a game out if we didn't
