It is just amazing.......you're right kid. Kiffin obviously has no idea what he is doing.

It almost reminded me of the Ohio State game when Derrick Henry was averaging almost 8 yards a carry, but wouldn't feed him.

Posts like this make me fear for the safety of the great people people in Alabama. If a day ever comes when Alabama is not the absolute best team in the country.....every year....put the national guard on watch.

RUN DA DAMN BAWWWW!!!! ROLL MOTHER EFFING TIDE!!!! BAMMER WHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! WE NEVUH GON LOSE EVUH!!!!!

That long near-TD run by Harris was off the jet sweep motion pulling the ILB out of position as he followed the motion.

Thanks for reposting...I posted it on page 4, but some people just don't get it. They never will. Ridley's second quarter TD run was the last time we actually gave him the ball, but we continued to run the WR motion and fake the whole game.

You mentioned the deep safeties... Here's another one:

At the 2:30.00 mark of this clip, on the replay, watch the action of the OM safety #15 on the WR motion by Sims. We put Sims in motion, fake the jet sweep to him, #15 sprints out of position as soon as Sims goes in motion in anticipation of the jet sweep. We complete a 40 yard pass to Ridley right where he would have been dropping back into coverage. Ridley blows right by the DB playing 5 yards off the LOS, and there's no help over the top because the DB got suckered by the jet sweep motion.

Some fans are never going to understand this concept.

Saban basically said the exact same thing we've all been saying for 10 pages.

And we've actually been supplying visual aids.

Ha, I only read the first post and the last page of posts when I saw someone bitching about the jet sweeps.

While we're complaining, I'd like to know why we let Harris even touch the ball. When we open up a hole for him, that fat bastard quits and gets tackled at the one yard line. It's happened several times already this season.

Surely there's someone on the roster that actually wants to score and will put forth a little effort.

You know, I played a little ball back in the day, and when I got to the one, I left it all on the field, and always made the score. I don't think it's too much to ask Harris to do the same.

I will say this though. Although I've always thought Kiffin's a genius, watching that replay of the pass to Ridley makes me appreciate him even more. You know when he's running the sweep in the first quarter, he must have been telling Sark up in the booth to watch the safety, just to see if he would be able to burn them two hours later. The man is a MF-ing genius that's able to think so far ahead of any DC, it's almost unfair. There is no one in the game better at getting the match up he wants.

Like someone said earlier in the thread, it's a form of play action. It's a perimeter play that makes the defense think. Just like the jet sweep. Most good defenses in this league don't get caught on the jet sweep, but if they have to respect it, it can set up plays off of it. It can be frustrating sometimes, but I get it.
