Full court press for Chip Kelly......
Lol... Realistically, I can see us trying to get Bobby Petrino

I don't think Petrino would be offered either.
If UNC has a good year, I could see Larry Fedora getting a look. Doubt we see another coordinator.

If Muschamp goes, I think UF throws a ton of money at Chad Morris. UF has always had their best years with an offensive innovator at the helm. Just a guess though.
If Morris was a HC, I could see this. But, if Florida gets a HC next season it'll be someone with some head coaching experience- Sumlin, Malazahn, Kingsbury (if he's good this season), Kelly (if he decides to pull a Saban and quit on the Eagles).

The Dan Mullen UF playbook.

Back up the Brinks truck at Art Brile's house. In all honesty back when I thought Muschamp was getting fired I wanted the North Dakota coach who beat K-State and won back to back FCS national championships. I really believe those guys can do good at the FBS level if given the opportunity but you just dont see it. The only program I remember doing it, is OSU with Tressel.

Florida's DNA is offense. Just like Bama's DNA is defense. I think when a program tries to go away from what has traditionally made them successful, things typically won't work out. There are always exceptions though.
I don't know why this perception exists. Our best teams the past 10 years have been led by dominant defenses, not high-octane offenses. 2006, 2009 and 2012 for sure. 2008 was more balanced.

We shall see how he does with his best talent yet this year. I wish he would stay but he will leave soon. He said he will only leave for a destination job. Many thought it would be a Mississippi school one day but those aren't destination jobs. He will succeed wherever he ends up.

Will USC fans cry all the way home after Boom drowns them in the Swamp this year?
Stop the Boom being fired crap...he will be 11-1 or 12-0 this year and make a lot of you look like idiots....then you have to find another coach and another team to speculate what will happen to that coach....can we post real info on this board? I guess not.

There's a reason Mullen is still at Miss St: either no big job legitimately wants him when push comes to shove OR he falsely assumes he's eventually gonna land the Florida job.
Mullen is a decent coach, but not deserving of a Top10 job IMO. I believe his only chance at rising is taking a "b level" elite job and then potentially moving up from there....I.e. Clemson, OklahomaSt, michiganSt, Miami, etc
All that said, if he could ever win the West or SEC at MissSt I think his stock would rise considerably and he could potentially leverage that immediately into a top-10 job whereas there's no way currently he's getting a Top10 job as is.
Florida's next coach will be Malzahn or Sumlin IMO. Or maybe Jim Mora.

Personally, I'd want UF to pursue Mike Gundy.

Definitely a possibility there as well with Gundy, but I'd go for Malzahn and Sumlin before moving to him.
