Hypothetical question here. Which SEC job would you take?

Let's assume that the following head football coaching jobs were open at the same time...
Bama
Auburn
LSU
Tennessee
Georgia
A&M
Florida
OK, none of these schools are in ncaa trouble and all fired their coach looking for better results.
I think these are the best jobs in conference and some of the very best in America. Assuming they all offer the same salary and contact which job do you take? If it's possible, set aside your fan allegiance while making your decision.

Tennessee. Their fans seem to be in a constant state of "well this season sucked but not really and we're gonna be much better next year"
Pretty decent job security.

UF
LSU
Bama
UGA
A&M
Auburn
UT
In that tier order and order in general. UF because of the state they are in and LSU the same. The top 4 are set apart from the last 3 because those situations (mainly recruiting) are vastly different.

Arkansas - you know you'll get fed very well

Tennessee is a much better job than AU

Almost agree with you.
LSU and Florida are easily the top jobs if you drop your allegiance. After that I will say Georgia and Alabama round out the next two and Auburn and the aggies coming next. A&M has potential to climb higher on this list.
ETA: I am not slamming the Tennessee job I just think it to be easier to recruit at the other schools.

yeah we have the same view. A&M can certainly jump into that top4 but Aubie and UT have some disadvantages the others don't.
For the UT guy, what makes you say UT is a better job? Auburn has won the conference, NC and played in another NC game since UT sniffed anything. And realistically the recruiting base for UT is no where near the others.

LSU or Georgia because of the obvious in state recruiting advantage.

Arkansas.
6-6 and a win over a putrid Texas team in the bowl game gets you a raise and an extension.

UF because they have proven they can recruit as good as anyone with the right coach and right now they are still down . the pressure to win would not be as big as some of the other schools right away.
A&M would be second , they are in a state full of talent and not a lot of pressure to win .

LSU is the only P5 program in their state (which happens to be loaded with HS talent) and has more than enough support and tradition. They also pull talent out of TX too.

Both LSU and Georgia were pretty mediocre when I was in school in the nineties and it was unbelievable. Two best jobs in the country in my opinion.

I would take the MSU job, do not have to win much there.
I know it is not on the list, but F your list.

I would pick Georgia. Their fans don't have the crushing expectations of other schools plus it's a pretty easy job to win at.

Mark Richt would disagree

Why would he disagree after getting 15 years?
