He was a consistent winner who lost his job because he could not bring a national championship
If he would have won like that at most schools he would be under to stay until he retire

He went 10 years without an SEC title. That's unacceptable at a program like UGA.
Stallings won a national title and we basically forced him out because he couldn't beat Florida 4 years later.

LSU

Talent rich state.

Only name brand success rich CFB in state.

Next door to Texas and situated near gulf coast; more talent.

Interested fanbase.

UGA is not Bama nor is it even UF or UT

A SEC championship once or twice a decade is what should be expected

They do have crushing expectations because what they feel like they deserve it not reality

Historically
Most years maybe not at the moment
A lot of years UT and Auburn have stolen most of the great players from Georgia

Out of all Big 6 schools UGA is the worse to coach at in my opinion

This is kind of a cool topic.

Homer aside I would take LSU for reasons mentioned. But if LSU wasn't available I would take UGA. Then UF. Then Bama.

Only reason bama not higher is bc the state isn't as talent rich as some listed and they share with auburn. I feel like as long as youre really good recruiter like nicky you'll be successful there

Our fans have ridiculous expectations though. "Well Saban has ONLY won 4 titles in his 9 years here..."

yeah we have the same view. A&M can certainly jump into that top4 but Aubie and UT have some disadvantages the others don't.

For the UT guy, what makes you say UT is a better job? Auburn has won the conference, NC and played in another NC game since UT sniffed anything. And realistically the recruiting base for UT is no where near the others.

Those things don't make it a better job. First off, the Tennessee job isn't in bumfrick Alabama and is located in a good size city next to the smoky mnts. Where I'm living would be a major factor. The Tennessee recruiting thing is one of the most overblown things in the history of the rant. Tennessee is in a perfect location to recruit the Carolina's, Virginia/DC, and also OH,MI,IN. Tennessee has also always done very well in Georgia. Our in state talent has exploded with the Nashville population. This is great news for UT, since the hop spot is no longer all the way across the state in Memphis. We also don't have to play second fiddle to another in state program and beat them for recruits. All that combined with UTs history and tradition and the fact that our facilities(some of the best in CFB)are better than AUs.........yes, it is a better job

Florida. Built in recruiting advantage at every position except oline and maybe QB and you wouldn't have to chase the ghosts of Bryant and Saban.

Georgia or Tennessee.
If Tennessee had a decent state wide high school football tradition, I'd have included them.

Take out the fan bias I would go in this order.

Florida - talent, I like central Florida, high expectations.

Alabama - best program in the game. Fan base is nuts but I can work with that.

Georgia- talent, good location, good fan base.

Texas a&m - just to put one in the horns eye.

Vanderbilt - to try and do something no one else has ever done, win the SECRET

None of the rest I'd consider.

Georgia would be my rational pick but I really dislike grown men barking like dogs.

So UF.
