You're right, I hate all successful coaches. That's why I'm a Bama fan.

I will agree that BGSU and Utah might not have the following that Florida has, but come on. If guys were criminals at those schools, there is NO WAY a program in the limelight of the SEC like UF hires the guy. Especially after the early to mid '80s debacle of Galen Hall and the rogue figures who brought that school down under NCAA sanctions. Never happen.

I'm sure you were questioning Harvin's character and Hernandez's character when they were making plays all over in the BCS games, right?? Hypocrites.

Florida seems to have a problem keeping successful coaches; first Meyer and then Donovan. What is it about Gainesville that drives them away?

You dumbass Meyer quit. Donovan got a once in a lifetime opportunity and I don't blame him for taking the okc job.

Billy coached at Florida longer than Rick Pitino and John Calipari combined coached at UK. Hell Billy D coached at Florida longer than any UK Coach stayed in Lexington other than the old racist did.

Urban is a great coach, but he's a bitch. He will win, and win big, at tOSU for 4-5 years and then leave them high and dry out of nowhere just like he did UF.

Well admittedly he doesn't have to try as hard to stay on top at OSU, that's the benefit of being in a cream puff conference-- its like FSU in the ACC in the 90s-- yeah they were good and sometimes great but there's a reason no other team no matter how good ever finished in the top 5 every single year for more than a decade. In Columbus Urban's team can roll out its C game and still win going away whereas in Gainesville doing that even with arguably the best college football team since Nebraska in 1995 gets you beat at home since you play a ranked team every other week or so.

That may have been true, but as many would agree, the conference (at least the East side of it) is getting better with their coaching hires at least. They may not all work out, but most would agree D'antonio, Meyer, Harbaugh and Franklin match up well against any 4 coaches in America in any conference. 3 of the 4 have won BCS games and Franklin turned Vandy into an ok team.

The West, who knows what will happen there

No, because Urban flat out didn't give a frick in last season at UF.

Neither did Saban. He had basically stopped recruiting. So much so that he didn't recruit the #1 overall player from LA

Yeah, we have trouble keeping Donovan 18 yrs, including a time when KY came calling.

"Chest pains" are imminent bro. Harbaugh is gonna make Meyer realize what is important in life and Meyer will want to "focus on his family", again.

Then he will probably resurface at Texas a year later. Having a new perspective on life, again.

Wouldn't it have to happen more than once to become a pattern? It's like it happened 1 time and now it will happen all the time

when UFM moves on...probably more like 5-10 years..OSU will be fine. We're not a flash in the pan program. The B1G may never come back to prominence like it once was...but it will never be a pushover either. I'll take OSU and MSU against the top 2 SEC teams.

I'm joking about the chest pain shite. I'm not joking about him leaving, and there is a pattern to back that up. In his entire coaching career he's never stayed at one school for more than 6 years. History indicates he will leave tOSU in the next 3 years. I wouldn't be surprised if it's to try his hand in the NFL, to be honest.

I don't see him going anywhere else to coach college football. If he wants to try the NFL, more power to him. I mean people say Saban has a pattern of leaving too, and he's been at Bama almost a decade. If he wins another title there isn't much more for him to prove ever to be honest. He has a top 5 winning percentage and will have 4 national titles
