It's been widely reported that UM turned down the N.D. job because the administration there would not let him bring in his "type of players". The kind that he brought in & ruined the Gator program with in the end.

It has been written by meyer himself that he asked his fathers' advice on what he should do..and his father told him that Fla. was a better job.
Shelley Meyer has also said that she really didn't enjoy the 3 or 4 years the family spent in South Bend....frankly..if you've ever been there..SB is like Stark vegas...not much going on and nothing to do.

You shouldn't talk about lame arse Gainesville like that. When they call it a swamp, they are being kind. The worst type of trailer tramps available in that sewer.

Michigan State is already that program, and they knocked us out of a probable mNC once already. Did he fold then? Nope, he just went out and ran through everyone, including Bama, on the way to the first CFP championship.
I wouldn't want to stay in Gainesville either, so I can't blame him for wanting out, regardless of the reasons.
