Times aren't any different in that regard.

That's not the question

that's the question

Well, one depends on the other. Hilarious you can't see how they are connected. If we have a vol like season, he won't survive it. If we win a championship, then the topic blows up.

Not really. Asking how many decades can he survive without a championship wouldn't be the question anymore if he won a championship.

If he won? You made the same point I made in my final sentence.

He wouldn't survive one 5 win season but He would survive for a long time if we remain in the top ten often.

No one said otherwise. Is it really crazy to you that Uga would fire richt for an awful season, but wouldn't if we won a lot of games?

To the poster who says he hasn't taken advantage while UF/Tenn are down. UF hasn't been down that long, but BOTH of his SEC Titles are when UF and Tenn were relevant in the early 2000's. So maybe them being productive would help us out a little bit.

If mediocre is nine 10 win seasons in 14 years then I gotta know what good and great are? He has been first in the east 6 of 14 years. Finished in the top ten in the polls 8 of 14 years.

Tennessee hasn't won more than 7 games since Fulmer left. Maybe, just maybe, they should have kept him.....

Is this the weekly "how long can Richt last" thread? It's a little early in the week for this. Usually we discus this on Wednesday.

I'll bite... The answer, a few more years if we keep losing games we shouldn't.

I have contended for years that UGA's problem isn't Richt. It is UGA and the universities lack of willingness to keep up with the times. Dead last in the SEC to get an IPF and it is still conceptual. We just in the last 12 months have decided to take advantage of the rules that allow for extra football assistants, only about 8 years behind most major SEC programs.

The good news is that UGA appears to be listening to Pruitt and is making changes in the right direction. Pruitt went as far as to say that these are things that Alabama and FSU used against UGA in recruits living rooms.

Now if UGA would just let us oversign like the schools in the west and not make our drug test failures public then we will be on equal ground. We played in the 2012 SECCG against Bama with 67 scholarship football players for fricks sake.

So, I think with the latest moves that Richt will be without excuse in the next few seasons. It will be time to put up or shut up.

He doesn't need to win a national championship. He will be there till he quits.

As long as Richt is recruiting at the level he is, UGA will fall into a Natty like Auburn.

"Fall into" is a poor troll attempt.

We played in the game again 2 years later after winning another SEC title.

To answer the OP, he will stay as long as he wants.

Georgia fans do not desire an SEC, BCS, or CFB playoff title. All they care about is beating Auburn and everybody knows it.

2 things:

A - WHAT does an IPF have to do with winning a title? It doesn't improve your team by giving them a "boost".

B - I'm PROUD of the strong drug testing UGA has. I wish more schools would be like that instead of giving people 3rd/4th/...... chances before kicking them off the team!

Is that right? They beat us in 2013 and we finished #4 in the country.

Being a top 10 team most seasons, by definition is not mediocre. A typical UT season 5-7 to 7-5 is, by definition, mediocre. So ya know, whatever. I know and understand you are a retarded person and this will fall on deaf ears. Just trying to help you learn some things.

A- It's an arms race that we are just now entering.

B-I'm not. It's been a hindrance, especially since others aren't going to follow suit.
