2004 says hello.
When Auburn was on the outside looking in at the National Championship game...... not one coach or AD spoke out for us. Not one coach or AD "voted us #1" in the final poll before the championship game participants were decided.
But that is not what happened to Oklahoma and USC.
Since that day,
I despise every last one of you and your fanbases. I will pull for you all to lose every game even if you play ISIS.

I would never pull for Bama under any circumstances. I am a college football fan and not a SEC fan. Bama's fans give all of college football a bad name. Bama football players should know that bigots and racists that make up most of their "Lost Cause" fans. The Bama players are either too naive or stupid to know that Bama fans are the worst of Southern society. It would best for the University of Alabama, the state of Alabama and the nation if Bama was given the Death penalty for its football program.

Neither. My wife graduated from UT. My daughter goes to GT. I didn't care who won that game. Regardless, and again, SEC dominance is very low on the list of important things in life. You can't know this until things are put into perspective for you but one day you will feel the same.

The conference has always been and will always be competitive. It will never be the Sunbelt. The stadiums will always be full in the SEC and the TV contracts will remain whether the SEC dominates every year ir not. Your exaggerated sense of urgency in the matter does not affect me in any negative way.

So you're cheering for Georgia Tech, your in-state rival, over Tennessee?
Are you a fricking idiot?

What's even worse than some of us "not grasping the concept of conference superiority" are the superstitious types who think that our rooting for your teams is actually going to have any sort of affect on the games.

I care whether other teams win or lose in so far as it effects, in order:
1. Kentucky's conference standing
2. Kentucky's strength of schedule
3. SEC strength, reputation, and money

I root against all other SEC schools. Conference pride means nothing to me.

Ever since Jan 1993, when I had to sit in a bar with a shite-ton of smack-talking Miami fans who were disrespecting the conference for an entire hour before kickoff, then and there I decided I'll never pull for an OOC team again. By the end of the game, I actually bought a few pitchers to cool everyone down, but not before mentioning "hey, at least Auburn gave Bama a game for 3 quarters, what's Miami's excuse?", lol...
While I appreciate the logic of the OP, my reasons for pulling for the SEC are different

That's what you do when you can't win for yourself, you pull for who you wish you were, your hero lol

kind of weird, you would rather the non sec wins?
And seriously who has the hate/time to actively root for other teams at this level

Your post is a perfect example of why SEC folks should come together when it comes to playing OOC teams. It's like family. Brothers can beat on each other all they want, but don't let somebody from outside the family come in and start trouble or they'll get the whole bunch down on them.

I agree! I preach this all the time but people can't get over grudges. If Bama or Auburn would lose every game this year, a win against either wouldn't mean shite, but if they win every game, a win means something! It's good for all of us when the SEC wins! GO SEC!

Agree 1000%
BUT I'm ok with Alabama and Florida losing every game they play!

Alabama fans included.
I honestly think this is the problem. During their run, bama fans have diminished every team that has beat them in the past 10 years to the point where everyone in the conference just hates them.
In 07 LSU fans chanted S-E-C while beating OSU in the dome. Bama took over from there and I don't think you hear that type of shite any more.

I'll pull as hard for any SEC team as said SEC team's fans would pull for LSU. Point being, not happening. What exactly does SEC league superiority do for LSU? The Black Bears? Gators? Nadda, nothing.
