So you're cheering for Georgia Tech, your in-state rival, over Tennessee?

Are you a fricking idiot?

So do Florida State, Georgia Tech and Clemson.

My life is great. Yours must be pretty shitty to hold on to all of that unnecessary hate.

The only thing that matters is having four or five good teams at the top. I'd rather have LSU or Florida or Georgia be one of those teams than fricking Tennessee or Auburn. I'm never going to root for them.

You don't have to root for them.

Knowing it's better for all of us if they win OOC games is enough.

I don't think they can do it, but an Auburn win next Saturday night might go a long way towards keeping the Fighting Dabos out of the playoffs. Because I don't think they will lose a game if the Barn does not get it done, Bama finished FSU 's chances by taking out Francois.

Winning these OOC games is vital to maintaining our spot at the top of college football.

You mean for Bama? The Big Ten was god awful in the 2014 regular season, and Ohio State won the national title. Great teams win the title not conferences. With the playoff as long as the SEC isn't the worst P5 conference, we're fine.

There are teams I will cheer for that are in SEC and there are teams I will root against in SEC. I don't see why SEC fans have this complex and need to "have" SEC teams win against non SEC opponents. Does not matter in the polls. Would I cheer for the Falcons bc they are in same division as the Saints? Hell f'n no. To me that is the same as asking me to cheer for Bama, Florida or Auburn. Not gonna happen. Think Ohio State fans were rooting for Michigan against Florida? No.

Conference superiority doesn't matter as much now in the era of a four team playoff.

Guess what? Your athletic department survives on money generated by the conference distribution. What's bad for the SEC is bad for Georgia, whether it's fewer bowls, or the inability to negotiate a TV contract in seven years because the conference isn't competitive.

ETA - Not a single response to the OP seems to understand this.

Finally somebody gets it.

More wins means more money for everyone.

Scruffy graduated 8 years ago.

Why should he care? He doesn't get the money.

I'm with you 100%. I want the SEC to be the strongest conference.

I get why so many pull against Alabama but they seem scared of Tennessee too.
