He's not allowing Marshall to train with George Whitfield this summer. Interesting since the big time coaches don't seem to have a problem with this:

It's what's best for Auburn. The fact it may hinder an Auburn QB's chances at getting a successful start in the league is secondary.

I think you guys had him at the only position that he mighe make the CFL in.

You're not really suggesting that Nick Marshall could be an NFL qb are you?

My fault...I see it now. You're saying we should put him at cb so that way he could possible play pro.

Yea, not doing that.

What a dick

Guess he wants Marshall to remain a RB instead of a QB

I'm suggesting that Gus is not going to allow him to make the effort to try to gain the skills to be an NFL QB.

Nothing more than that.

i liken to self taught guitarists. a lot of these guys dont really want to learn to read music. they're afraid it will change the way they play. i.m sure gus dont want his qb learning anything that will mess up the way he runs the team. jmo

Gus is a QB guru. e.g. Cam Newton, Nick Marshall, Kiehl Frazier, Clint Moseley, Barrett Trotter, Chris Todd.

In defense of Gus, Marshall is a below average qb, would be a waste of time.

When did the marshall detractors become so pro his ability?

I'm guessing shortly after auburn's coaches decided they wanted only auburn's staff working with auburn's quarterbacks?

Could be.

Or Gus thinks he's the ultimate QB guru or maybe he thinks training with Whitfield is a player safety issue.

I understand you saw a thread about auburn and had to give your two cents and i actually found this one funny as opposed to your normal emoticon posting, however even though it's intended as sarcasm the trotter and todd inclusions actually do speak to his qb coaching skill.

Pointless thread. It would be a waste of time to try and make Marshall into something he is not. Whitfield can't make Phillip anymore of a QB than Gus can.
