GMAC will not have any troble being professional and unbiased. That's what the problem is. When have you evet seen a corndog or anyone from API that wasn't biased. Just look ai this board. You expect intelligence and you get a world of butt-hurt.

My knee jerk reaction is negative. I'd rather they brought in older, more experienced, and less partisan media members instead of a guy who is identified with one school and hasn't paid his dues.

Broadway Joe is in his 70's, so somebody in their 30's or 40's?

He wasn't hired for Monday night football. He is going to have a role on a start up network in some capacity as an analyst.

Does anyone know what he is going to be doing for the network? Seems like to me he's judged before he's seen. Is anyone suprised?

I have the feeling that no matter what the reason you'll disagree with anyone who isn't excited about a recent Bama QB as a football analyst but this isn't supposed to be a school newspaper or late night telemarketing gig.

Why can't they get people with significant media credentials instead? If the SEC Network is to be taken seriously it should rise above say the level of Jefferson Pilot broadcasting.

Both Palmer & Barkley have earned their spurs. GM gets the gig because he's a former bama QB with an influential dad, apparently? Unbiased? Want to guess the over/under re the number of times his former school's name comes up?
