Haha not impressed that's funny

Word has it the NFL Network is next to ask him to join and he will likely be working the Draft

He will be a hot commodity in the sports industry now that's likely why he retired got too many offers outside of the NFL

We'll see how long this will last...but good for him from turning from a NFL Bust to commentator.

He was a seventh round pick. Many of those don't even make the team's final roster. That's not a bust.

He wasn't a bust. He did about as well and lasted about as long as your average 7th round QB taken in the draft. He wasn't predicted to be a star NFL player. To be a bust you have to have expectations coming in like Ryan Leaf.

The few times he has been a guest analyst (I've seen him on both ESPN and Fox) he has been very solid. Much better than your normal player/former player analyst. He was a little dry, but provided on the mark commentary. Why are so many people upset with him being on the SEC Network?

Yes some appear to be less than pleased that he is joining the SEC Network. Please try and keep up.

Auburn fans this isn't a big deal

Alabama fans this isn't some sort of "we have to defend our guy" moment

the dude will sink or swim and we will all know what the score is once he gets on TV

Glad to hear it. Unless I miss my guess, McElroy will move quickly through the ranks at ESPN. QBs that never really made it in the NFL seem do well in broadcasting.
