You know it is a rivalry right? Bama fricking hates Auburn and Auburn fricking hates Bama. It's like complaining about that or AJ running off the field and not shaking hands. It's a rivalry. They should spit in the face of your players and your program 24/7/365. AJ tried to make peace with it by "cheering" for AU to beat FSU, but it's a rivalry. Don't be part of the pussification of football and the world. GMAC flipped y'all off and AJ refused to touch your showerless player's hands. Get over it.

And no, this isn't a melt, this is me being a real fan and hating the rivals.

And still a little sour about kick six, but mostly the rival thing.

And no, I don't mean literally spit in the face of your players. But damnit it is a rivalry so quit whining about flipping people off and what not.

so one gesture that is pretty common and warranted by AU students (for harassment) in the heat of the battle makes you make a character judgement on him

Yep...that's it a Rhodes Scholar finalist and charismatic guy by all accounts and the couple times I met him (and he was very nice) is officially a Dbag

Thank You for clearing that up for is TiM

Plenty of the finest QBs the NCAA has had in its history ended up a lot better analysts than NFL products

No one knows what happened to Eric Crouch though

Can't wait till the week 2 or 3 AU match-up aired on the SECN with McElroy calling it

Give him a chance bro...Im sure ESPN is attempting to get as many analysts from different teams as they can

You're very right. I'm sure he will be completely impartial.

In all seriousness, I don't mind him flipping off the AU crowd. I am sure that crowd wasn't acting like they were in church. It's part of the game and if I had been there, it would have been funny, I think. McElroy should do fine. He's smart enough to know he's not on local radio like Barker and won't play the homer.
I don't think what McCarron did was cool though. Plenty of UA players were man enough to shake hands. He was just pissed his dream season came crashing down and acted like a spoiled child who had his toy taken from him.

You are really holding a grudge because AJ wouldn't shake a couple of guys hands on the field after a heartbreaking loss? He didn't go to the post game interview and run down anyone. Murray did the same thing after the 2012 SEC championship game and I didn't take it as a sign of disrespect, but rather an emotional guy who just had the prize snatched from him after being so close. Many Auburn fans on this site suck at life.

I'm not holding a grudge. I'm pointing out it wasn't cool. Was the loss not as heartbreaking to the players who did shake hands? Unless it's changed, I was taught win or lose, you show class by shaking hands after a game. I am pretty sure Saban tries to instill that in his players.

I was ok with Tebow, he is a good guy and was one of the best to ever play in the SEC, Palmer and McElroy make no sense to me. There are tons of SEC greats that could do a better job IMO.

AJ was more passionate than them. I think that was the point made about a lot of guys on the team. The fact that they weren't sour enough to leave without shaking hands tells me they didn't care enough. No place at Bama if you don't care about losing to Auburn.
