pretty damn close

Coaching isnt the only reason you are 1-16 in your last 17 SEC games- you guys lack talent and depth- especially on the defensive side of the ball

and we have 4-5 more draft picks still on the DL...that's one damn place we dont lack for talent- that's for damn sure

I understand that, but to suggest that it's some sort of plug 'n' play type of situation is laughable.

I fully understand that. Still, our lack of talent and depth isn't nearly as bad as last year's record and scores indicated.

I'd rather have great players than great coaching, but coaching is incredibly important.

We're replacing a 1st round pick with a 3rd-4th round pick who is sliding over. (Boyd) His back-up is a 4-star Soph

We're replacing a nobody DE with a 5-star juco that some people feel may be one and done.

Our other DE was a R-Fr last year that started every game- he will certainly be improved.

And taking over Boyd's spot will a 5-star Freshman that went thru Spring practice or another player that has been in the program for 3 years.

And then there is Nick James who is an absolute monster but has alot to learn.

We may have lost a 1st rounder at DT- but with the huge improvement at DE and added depth- our DL will probably be better than last year

I think you may be underestimating Boyd.

It'll be different. Not sure if better, not sure if worse, but definitely different. It will still be one of the better groups in the SEC.

Wayne Dorsey was such a badass for us.

Nobody knows that better than us

Most of you have realistic expectations- 3 wins, maybe a chance at Vandy. But I think you guys are wishful thinking still on beating us. And you can be damn sure Mullen and the guys wont overlook that game with the importance that is placed on it by our program.

That's the difference- Dorsey flames out in Oxford, Pernell McPhee shines in Starkville.

Neither of those situations decides Autry's fate- but our track record is better

Eh... I think as far as a gameday coach goes Les ain't too great, but his teams are always very, very ready to play.

Also, you're talented. Again, I'd rather have better talent than coaches. I think we're seeing eye to eye here.

Autrey should be pretty good for them.

I don't get what happened to Dorsey. In his JUCO highlight film, he was rushing past/around the tackles and getting to the QB. Made it look easy. Big, fast, athletic. Deserved his recruiting stars.

Something specific must have gone on with Dorsey to affect his play--I don't think it was simply that D1 defenses were better than JUCO.

Autry is an All-SEC level pass rusher- but he still has alot of work to do against the run. I think this keeps him in college for his Sr year

He may have looked fast in JUCO, but this was his biggest problem while he was at Ole Miss. It looked like everyone else on the field was moving twice as fast as he was.

Ed Orgeron proved you can have an NFL team and go 0-8 in the SEC if you can't coach. Weak flame. Coaching is the biggest factor.
