Egg Bowl a toss-up? Get outa here with that crap. We will be a 8-10 pt favorite and win easily just as we have the last 3

State is 5-2 in the last 7 Egg Bowls. There is nothing "toss-up" about them anymore

4 wins maybe. We are in very bad shape but I like the direction freeze is going right now. At the very least we should be better prepared and hopefully our players look like they want to be playing unlike last year.

It'll be refreshing to at least see us not get delay of games coming off a time out and things like that

The egg bowl will be another laffer. In the past, the better team often lost because they dismissed an inferior opponent, while the worse team treated it like the superbowl.

Even though we know we're the better team, under Mullen, there is nothing stressed more importantly than beating ole miss. Plus I think ole miss has totally given up on giving a rat's arse about football.

If you honestly think Freeze is going to treat the egg bowl like Nutt you're a tard.

I have a built in spell check, no misspellings on my part are accidental. I heard "laffer" from a parody of an old Harry Carey broadcast or something like it, and enjoyed it. Glad to see you're feelin' so froggy. I'm looking forward to seeing another 0-8.

I was wondering who did freeze rub the wrong way at South Panola high school that all the recruits are looking at other places than Ole Miss?

Expectations in Oxford for 2012

It's hard for me to say. I expect a much better attitude and an exponentially better prepared team. There will still be hiccups and lingering signs of the mess that Nutt left, that's just gonna happen - a mess like ours isnt fixed overnight. However, I am confident we will see improvement in a number of areas.

I dont expect to see some huge turnaround this season in wins but I do expect to see a solid foundation established for what Freeze and his staff expect of their players.

I will say this, if we are 2-0 when Texas comes to town it will be a great early opportunity for our team to build alot of confidence for the rest of the season. We win that game, we are most likely going to be 4-0 before we are steamrolled by Bama in week 5.

In the end, I expect 4-5 wins. We should absolutely win 3 of 4 nc games and hopefully 1-2 sec wins. If we start off 4-0 though, I could see us getting to a bowl with home wins over Vandy, a&m, or State.

These State fans who are just writing off the Egg Bowl need to pump the brakes. Im not saying we will win, State should have a much better team than us this year but Freeze will have our team prepared for that game unlike we ever were during Nutt's tenure.

It wont matter- you will be out-talented and outclassed. Not to mention your lack of depth will have taken its toll by game 12

I believe it will.

out-talented

Agreed. And since the more talented team wins every cfb game i guess we shouldnt even show up.

outclassed

at a State fans talkin about "outclassing" anyone.

This is true, but does it not hold true for state? I know yall have more depth than us right now but yall arent exactly Alabama. State could very possibly enter the Egg Bowl on a 4 game skid with nothing to play for other than seeing if they are going to be in Nashville of Atlanta on NYE. This game will be the season for us. Not to mention if we somehow start off 4-0, beat Vandy, and are going for bowl eligibilty in the Egg Bowl.

HOOKED ONE. But you weren't the intended target breh...

But in either case, if you don't think what he did last year was impressive you're insane. They had Arkansas on the ropes if they don't fumble on the 2 going in for a TD to take a 14 point lead they win that game.

sometimes talent does come into play. I think he's a good coach... not great, but good.
