No possible way we overlook the Egg Bowl. If that isn't insanely clear at this point in Mullen's tenure, I really don't know what will ever make it clear...

can I ask one thing that isn't a flame? Are State fans as bewildered as I am as to why Merlins didn't give it to Dixon 4 times from the LSU 2 back in 2009?

I don't generally watch many games back in Mandeville but that one I did and I almost lost my shite when I thought we were going to lose. No offense

Yes, we are. We are still pissed about it...but our feelings toward the improvement in everything else with our program prevents us from getting too hung up on it. Bottom line is, we realize he's a first time head coach that is going to make mistakes early in his tenure. We could make a laundry list of Mullen mistakes, but it's counterproductive to where we're trying to go overall. Our fanbase is small. For us to ever have a chance to really succeed, we've got to be almost totally united behind a common goal.

If we keep being in position to win games like that one, we'll eventually get the right personnel to make it happen, much like over half our games the last time we actually beat LSU..

No it doesnt

Our only serious concerns would be losing an OT or QB- everywhere else has back-ups that will play alot

But in either case, if you don't think what he did last year was impressive you're insane. They had Arkansas on the ropes if they don't fumble on the 2 going in for a TD to take a 14 point lead they win that game.

So you defend Vandy in this argument, and say that this isn't the normal vanderbilt.

But yet, regardless of the fact MSU (a program historically not much better than Vandy) has won 9 games, and 7 games the past 2 seasons under Mullen, we are still "same ol MSU", According to many posters, and I believe you have said these things on here before.

We gave LSU it's best game besides Bama, Lost to 11 win USCe by 2, barely lost to Auburn, etc.

How based off one season can you believe that Vandy has the better coach and is a good team? Franklin hasn't proven much... he won six games with a team that had 21 of 22 starters return. MSU won 7 with a harder schedule and lot's of injuries. Not to mention only returned like 15 starters.

nah, Oregon probably did. That LSU-State game wasn't as close as the game indicated.

I usually only flame Bundy because he's like Corky from Life Goes On. I've never really flamed MSU football except in UM/MSU threads when I can usually get a 2-4-1 deal.

I don't think ANY LSU fans had any doubt though. I was more worried about Oregon even when we were up 13+

I never said the score wasn't close. I said it wasn't as close as the score indicated. Learn to digest the words you look at son

Their starting QB is a juco we recruited to be a back-up.

The same could be said for State except I guess your unproven freshmen will be that much better than our unproven freshmen.

They lost one of their top 5 talents in Brassel last month

He'll definitely be missed. Moncrief will be a beast this year.

And they will struggle upfront

So will State

Hard to see them winning an SEC game again this season

Yet State will be a top offensive team in the SEC this year
