I disagree. Claiming something is either a you do or don't thing. You don't claim something more or less than someone else. Ole Miss chooses to honor their co-western division championship on their football stadium. We don't
This whole thread was started on Semantics. So I will make my argument based on semantics. I, and others, gave a straight forward answer to start the thread. It was clear that was not what the OP wanted. So I will feed him his breakfast

I think the simple answer is that everyone claims them, and should. Different schools, however,choose to honor such things differently

Again, in 2003 LSU won the Sec West and beat Ole Miss head-to-head. LSU was 13-1 and beat 11-2 UGA in Atlanta for the Sec Championship.
But 10-3 Ole Miss hangs a banner claiming they are the 2003 Sec Western Division Champs.
