Are you this slow?

You said this statement was incorrect
quote:

Yes, they claim west championships when they werent the rep in ATL, just like Ole Miss in '03

you then said this almost identical statement was incorrect
quote:

they[LSU] claim west championships when they werent the rep in ATL, just like Ole Miss in '03

Both are factually 100% correct. now if you are reading words that are not there, I cant help with the voices in your head.

LSU does not have to claim co-division title for 2003 because you won the west outright plus went on to win the Sec Championship over Georgia in Atlanta. You don't need to defend anything since you won it outright!

Again, in 2003 LSU won the Sec West and beat Ole Miss head-to-head. LSU was 13-1 and beat 11-2 UGA in Atlanta for the Sec Championship.

But 10-3 Ole Miss hangs a banner claiming they are the 2003 Sec Western Division Champs.

I realize you are just trying to be a pain in the arse but I will bite. Ole Miss claims nothing. The SEC awarded them the status based on the rules that all teams signed onto. You may not like it but until it is changed, those are the rules. Your tears make it all the sweeter.

So what about 96, 97, and 02 for LSU

Point to the SEC rules where it says anything about winning "outright." I can point to where it says co-champions.

There is none. You were fair and square co-division champs in 2003

[SEC Bylaw 30.22.1.3] The Conference champion will be determined by a game between the two division champions. The team in each division with the highest percentage of wins during all regular-season Conference competition will be declared division champion. If two or more teams are tied with the highest percentage of wins, they will be declared division co-champions. Division standings will be calculated on a percentage basis, using only those Conference games which are a part of the regular rotating schedule. Details on all tie-breaking procedures are outlined in these Commissioner's Regulations. The site of the championship game shall be set by a vote of the Conference member institutions.

You don't "claim" division championships. The SEC decides not segments of the fanbase.

You mean that banner that does not say Co-Western Champs then? It says "Western Division Champs."

It very well might have been ok with the conference but the fact that you lost to the only West champs that year (LSU) makes it even more funny. Especially since LSU was also the Sec Champions. But yes, enjoy your misleading banner I suppose.

If you need me to break out how to read the statements, without assuming other words or meanings, but just reading for the words that are actually in it, I can help

I won't speak for that poster but I know many make fun of it because of how it is displayed and not because they claim it.

Mizzou "won" the B12 North division in 2010, but Nebraska beat us and nobody cares since we didn't play in the B12 Championship game. Only Ole Piss hangs banners for that shite
