It's the first game of the year.
People saying that USC has no chance are f-ing crazy. USC consistently recruits in the top 10 and last season hauled in the best class in the country. Both teams are loaded with talent.
Absolutely.
I would be even more nervous about this game if they weren't having to start a new quaterback just as we are. I am hopeful that our defense will exploit his mistakes better than their defense exploits ours. But this game, while not a toss-up, is immminently "losable".

That means that if Saban's halftime adjustments are not working after the 3rd quarter your odds of beating him are pretty damned good. He likes to be in control going into the fourth quarter, if not he sort of relies on the other team making mistakes like LSU does. Go up against a competent plan with a competent QB like Meyer did and Freeze does and the other team has real good chance....especially teams that are balanced and USC is balanced in the run game and the passing game.
Alright

Well I anticipate you having a very good time, indeed.
I think USC wins this game.
LOL, shocking

Could come down to which quarterback has the better game... Both first time starters and both may be looking over their shoulder, if an early pick. 2 weeks until kickoff and neither team has named a starter.

If they break out the bone and proceed to run for a ton, i am freaked out!
Classic matchup. This is college football.
I've been so fortunate to have been alive through the wins and losses between the two teams.
USC always has a chance and so does Bama.

Their QBs are all pro-style, sit in the pocket, non-runners. Not a whole lot of those who have found success against Alabama.
Darnold is mobile. Oregon wanted him bad.

Overall, competitive early on and they will make plays. BAMA will wear them down.
Need the Gumps to win this one. Can't imagine the media this year if USC won this game.

As a Bama fan this game scares me a good bit. Mainly because we're breaking in a new QB and we will miss Henry's production big time.

Kiffin is the best OC in college football and it's not even close
Pretty easy to look good when you pound it with DH, or lob it up to a wide open Amari.

Yeah but he was doing it with Blake Sims and Jake Coker

Calling him the best OC in football and it not being close, may be an overstatement. But this comment completely overlooks that Kiffin has had to put in a brand new starting quarterback the last two years, and has two SEC championships and a national championship to show for it. In this day and age, that's an accomplishment no matter how talented your running backs are.

Best OC in the college game I should clarify......Yes but it's esaier becuase he has a lot of weapons to utilize......

If winning a championship or two at Alabama makes him the best offensive coordinator on Earth, then Alabama also just lost the best defensive coordinator on Earth. Also lost the best defensive line coach on Earth and the best strength and conditioning coach on Earth.
People should expect a drop off this season, considering Alabama is having to replace three of the best football coaches to ever walk God's green Earth this year.

I think they defiantly have a chance. Helton is a great offensive coach, they will have a good qb whoever they run out. Have a great wr and a great db. It's USC, don't act like they don't recruit at a high level. We don't even know who's going to play qb yet. I do think we win but I don't think it will be a blowout like a lot of people think. Think back to West Virginia with an unproven qb, we start slow, same with Wisconsin last year. Had we played them at the end of the year, we would have beaten both by 30 probably.

I would be surprised if USC scores more then 14 points against this Bama D.

You realize that Cochran is still our S&C coach, right?
