No one will shut LSU running game down. They will run on anybody on their schedule. Their online is that good. That much better than any dline they face. If they put 9 in the box they won't stop them. Once a team possibly figures out how to slo fournette a little, they're gonna start running Harris. If Miles just keeps passing to a minimum, they'll win every game and the NC.

We need to go 5 wide and make them play straight up in the box.

Meh we can stick 2 CBs out there to cover all 5 with Harris at QB, and still load the box.

What an asinine statement. Yes, we have a taller mountain to climb to get to that level than yall if you look at NFL talent, but we are very good at all 3 facets of the defense. We are thinner upfront for sure, and Steele is a question mark, but our starting 11 is pretty damn good. The main dropout we have is special teams. And you're not even close at QB, OL, and RB right now.

Bama will do it with 7. Occasionally 8. But mostly just 7.

Sure, why not? Our RBs averaged 6.8 yds/carry against them.

dumb argument. You know long runs don't count for some reason.

Statistically we're almost identical. But ok.

When having a reasonable discussion about how effective UGA's run game was against our defense, no, they really don't.

When the game is 37-3, most stats don't have much value at all.

Maybe to the group wanting a small moral victory...but not to anyone that understands statistical analysis.

Can LSU run on Alabama?

If so, how will they do it?

Better line and better back pretty simple.

Not even close at QB? I guess you're right.

Bama has the edge in adjusted line yards, rushing SP, success rate, and standard down SP.

Basically...none of what you said is correct.

Well I was thinking of McCarron when he had the game of his life, but yeah maybe that's close.

You and I have very different definitions of the word "effective"

I would call 183 pretty damn effective against Bama's front when you don't have much of a passing game. Also, go back and watch the tape. The YPC may have been low, but the Tigers got better as the game went on and Bama wore down some. They held the ball and controlled the clock through the late third and the fourth.

Wait... you think Henry and Bama's OL are better than Fournette and LSU's OL because of PFF? Seriously?
