Literally every year we are going to lose a lot of starters.
You don't know what the word literally means.

Here's an example of correct usage.

Literally anytime Dan Mullen returns less than 16 starters, his team loses 5 or more games.

Dak gonna have a better year this year than last. Gonna pass for over 4000. Gonna run less maybe around 600 yards.

More Star-gazing. The three offensive lineman that State lost from last year:

Blaine Clausell - 2 Star
Ben Beckwith - Not Rated
Dillon (Stomp a Mud hole in your arse) Day - 2 Star

...who were in the starting lineup. Are you really resorting to citing recruiting stars?

Not really, just showing that our coaching staff knows how to develop offensive lineman.

Our o-line goes Senior, Senior, Junior, Junior, Junior.... so it's not like we are trotting out inexperienced players this year.

I think you're confusing "inexperienced" with "young".

You won't be trotting out young players this year.

I wasn't confusing either.

Its really simple. We will have to have a great run game to compete. Not in Dak yards, but in RB yards. That showed the year Russell was the qb and we were 8-0 going into bama. Some fans didn't want to hear that because Tyler could throw. Tyler could actually run well enough to be in the system, but he had no run game support to keep the powers in the west honest. It would be a little better with Dak because of his abilities. but without a run game, we won't compete for the west.

OLE MISS understands that. Bo knows.

So, does MSU have a run game in 2015 is the only question you guys need answered. The answer to that is YES. We do. It's a better backfield than last year. All eyes are on Shump.... And most non MSU fans look at recruiting and automatically see Williams. There is another back that will be a draft pick in his junior season. His name is Lee. By the end of the LSU game..... You will know him.

He's good, but I wonder if last year wasn't one of those "once in a lifetime" years. He wasn't otherworldly, really, so it looks like a textbook case of someone reaching his personal pinnacle. Honestly, what arguments would you make concerning his improvement this year? Better receiving corp? Better o-line? Not a rhetorical question -- I actually would like a breakdown.

You mean like he did last year?

They blew their load to early son. You're so sensitive when it comes to Dak. It was a legitimate point, Alabama is always a team that dominates, but is always a beast mode qb away from being unstoppable. Dak would do that for them, thus giving people "nightmares".
He is the best thing to ever happen for State. When it all comes down to it, it is still Ms state, and even their best year with a legend like him isn't enough for a "nightmare".

State's biggest win ended up being that 8-5 Auburn win. Dak will be good this year but they won't have the same year they did last year because LSU and Auburn will be better

Including your own Matty Mauk?

DAK
61.6% completion, 8.7 yds/pass, 27 TD's to 11 INT's
986 Rushing yds, 14 TD's
2 Receptions, 35 yds, 1 TD

Aaron Murray or Zach Mettenberger

What relevance do they have in your argument if they're not playing currently in the SEC?

Slightly off subject, but...turns out Stacy was probably State's all time best QB.

Bless the information age - I saw Stacy play against Florida when I was a teenager and remember him as tall, rail-thin, and impressive, but never knew what happened to him. At that time there were very few games on TV and no information on teams such as MS. Here is what I found....for those interested.

See Wikipedia

Billy McGovern Stacy (born July 30, 1936 in Drew, Mississippi) is a former American professional football player who played five seasons in the National Football League for the Chicago/St. Louis Cardinals. He was selected to one Pro Bowl. Was the mayor of Starkville, MS.[1]

Another year in the system. Word out of camp is Dak has improved his footwork, reading ability, and throws downfield. We will see when the season starts.

Answer to the OP. Zou must be scared if Dak is already on your mind and State doesn't play the kitties until November.
